Furudate's comments (Inarizaki):
Atsumu: "When he first appeared, I didn't think he was a twin brother. I wanted to make him a mysterious character. As if. [A/N: literally "it was impossible.]"
Osamu: "When he spoke of the food, it was settled what kind of a guy he was."
Kita: "He's the furthest character from me as an author. Maybe because he's my polar opposite, it was surprisingly easy to draw him."
Suna: "He's from Aichi Prefecture. He got scouted and came to Inarizaki."
Aran: "He probably can't leave troubled people alone. Hope he doesn't get scammed or something."
Riseki: "After getting enough "mental muscle strain", he's going to become a "mentally muscular" man."
Q&A (Inarizaki):
Q: Which character was the most fun to draw?
A: Atsumu. Because he's like an animal.
Q: Who supervised Kansai-ben?
A: I thought Inarizaki would be located not far from Amagasaki, so I just imagined two people from downtown talking when I was writing the players' lines. Sometimes there was a bit of Miyagawa Daisuke-san or Tokui Yoshimi-san, which made it feel a bit closer to Kyoto. The editorial department members from Kansai supervised me, but they never corrected anything, so I got some confidence in that regard.
Q: Whose job choice were you troubled with the most?
A: Suna. I felt like he could both continue playing volleyball or quit it completely.
Q: Please tell us the reason behind the characters' names.
A:
Atsumu: "So that he becomes a person who help others."Osamu: "So that he becomes a person who help others."
Aran: "So that he becomes a cheerful person."
Suna: "So that he can choose the right path."
Kita: "Got a kanji from grandfather."
Ginjima: "So that he is blessed by connections with good people."
Akagi: "So that he can live confidently and successfully."
Oomimi: "So that he becomes a disciplined, always improving person."
