Rory had left her apartment shortly after Rae had texted her to go to the store and get some drinks for the night. It didn't take her long to grab few bottles, pay and leave the store in time to get back to her apartment and set up her stream. However, before she could even get to her apartment door, she was stopped by the building owner, Kevin. Rory smiled at him, but he didn't return the smile like he usually did.
"Hey, Kev," Rory said sweetly as she turned to face the older man. "Is everything okay?"
The smile on Rory's face soon faded as Kevin explained the situation. He told Rory that he was sorry, but she had a week to find somewhere else to live and leave her apartment. The reason being that he had received a lot of noise complaints from the old lady who lived in the apartment below Rory. He hated to have to do it, but he had no other choice. Rory understood, but it didn't make the news any easier to take.
Rory walked into her apartment and slumped down on the couch. She had no idea what she was going to do or where she was going to live. She knew she couldn't move in with Caroline because her apartment was being renovated so she was crashing at a friends house. Rory only had a week to find somewhere to live and move out and she had no clue how she was going to do it all.
Rory ended up sitting on the couch for hours trying to find another apartment to move into but she had no luck. She had been so wrapped up in finding somewhere to live that she had lost track of time and realised she was late to join Rae's among us lobby. Rory grabbed her phone and noticed missed messages from Rae and Corpse. She quickly replied, apologising for being late, and ran to her computer. She started up her game and joined the discord to find everyone waiting in the lobby for her.
"Rory's here!" Brooke called out and Rory could tell she was slightly tipsy.
"Hi, I'm so sorry I'm late, but something... came up," Rory explained. Everyone was too busy laughing and talking to notice the sadness in her voice, but Corpse did. He could tell something was wrong but he didn't want to bring it up in front of everyone, so he decided to wait until after the stream to talk to her.
