"No! I already said no!" I shouted in anger. These fucktards doesn't really know when to stop, now my morning is ruined. I ended the call already and laid on the bed. Pinikit ko na lang mga mata ko, umaasang makakatulog ulit.
"Shy!"
"Jace!"
Fuck, so much for resting.
"What?" I said with my eyes still closed.
"Its 9 already!" Rea said as she lunged at my bed. "Get off Rae!" Sabi ko but she didn't listen. As always. "C'mon, Shy, time to get up," Karla said. "I don't want to, Kar, its still early, damn," "Hey, hey no cussing," Chlis said. Why are they all here?
I smelled burger so I opened my eyes. "I knew it would work," Chlis laughed. Gosh, they're always playing me. "Give me that," "Nah-uh, get up first," Karla stretched her arm out so I accepted her hand and got up, and Chlis gave me my burger.
"So what's up?" I asked still eating. "Your parents are here!" Rae said "And your siblings, too," Chlis said while surfing at her phone. "Get yourself ready, Shy, I'll just go and entertain them," Karla said and got out of my room. Well, she's always like that, she's the oldest among the four of us.
Andito ako sa condo namin dito sa L.A., we lived together for good two years then we went our ways but I stayed here since I've got nowhere else to go. Nandito lang sila dahil weekend.
"Okay, you two, get out, I'll get ready," "Be sure to be ready, I know you're still sleepy," Chlis said and got out. "I'll stay here, her bed is comfy," Rae chuckled. "Its comfy because I'm always here duh, and seriously, Rae, I'm not sleepy, I got a good appetizer," I said while washing my face. "Nah-uh, just go and do your stuff," I just groaned at her stubbornness. Mas mabuti pa kung matulog na lang ako.
"Hey Rae," I spoke from the shower. She hummed as an answer. "What if we didn't worked out well?" I asked. "Dude, I'm not like you," she kid, "Gaga, I meant our group."
"Just kidding, but to answer your question, I think we'll still be on that place playing cover songs," she chuckled.
"Yeah, maybe you're right," I said while reminiscing our first meeting.
"Fuck, why does it have to be me? Ayoko, ayoko," I'm walking here at the side of the road, thinking why the hell my life is messed up. Damn.
I don't wanna kill, I don't want to be like that. Gusto ko maging artista, I wanna sing. I've written several songs already. But I'm having a new responsibility, fuck.
"Oh my God! Are you crying, Miss?" a stranger asked me. I looked up to her, and I saw her worried face. "What?" she chuckled. Ano itinatawa tawa niya? She's seriously laughing at my state? "I don't think you heard me. I said, are you crying?" sabi niya habang tumatawa. "Isn't it obvious?" Hindi ko mapigilan ang magtaray.
"Well, I think you're numb, too. It's raining, can't you feel it?" she said. Umuulan pala? Damn, I didn't notice. "Sorry, I was just thinking," I mumbled. "You didn't answer my first question, miss," she said as she sat beside me.
"Yeah, I am," I said, shyly. "Its alright to cry. Wanna go somewhere private?" Tumingin ako sa kaniya, I mean, we just met, how can she invite me like that so easily? "You don't even know me, why would you invite me so easily?" I asked her, at tumingin siya sa akin na parang may ginawa akong kabaliwan.
"Are you really asking me that?" She asked me, while laughing. Again. "Miss, we're in Spain, and besides, I trust you. I know a little bit of taekwondo, in case you do something not promising."
Inisip ko sinabi niya. Okay, I'll consider it. "Okay, but where are you taking me?" I asked her but she just pulled me somewhere. "Don't worry, you'll like it," sabi niya sabay kindat.
Just go with the flow, Jace.
"Jace!"
"Shit, Rae! You startled the daylight out of me!"
"Because you were daydreaming! Finish what you're doing now!"
"Okay, okay! Geez."
I finished my shower, and put some decent clothes on. By decent, I mean, an oversized shirt and shorts.
So back to my daydreaming, dinala niya ako sa isang bangin. Cliché, I know, but it was beautiful, and after that, we exchanged numbers and became friends. We found out that we wanted to do music, and we became the best duo after that.
Dumeretso ako sa kusina, at doon ko nakita magulang ko, "Shy, baby!" I heard my mom exclaimed and hugged me. I'm spoiled alright. "I missed you too, mom. Hey, dad," I kissed both of their cheeks. "Hey, princess."
"So what are you guys doing here?" I asked, habang kumakain ng tinapay na bigay ni Kar. "We just visited you to make sure you're doing okay, baby, that's all," my mom said while she's sipping her coffee, "And to see if there are any pests," dagdag ni Dad.
"Don't worry, tito, tita, our baby here is doing fine," sabi ni Chlis.
"Yep, in fact, she's just staying here, she doesn't like going out much," that's Karla y'all.
"She's just watching Netflix and reading some books all day long. Writing and playing, too," Rae said while nodding.
"Great, but princess, go have fun outside, even just once a week. Don't drown yourself with TV and books," Dad said, "Hon, just let her be, its better if she just stay here, at least she's doing something, not just staying on her phone all day," Mom defended me.
"I do go out sometimes, Da–"
"But we have to drag you out first," Rae interfered. I gave her a 'seriously?' look. Tinignan naman ako ni Dad.
"Fine, fine, we'll go out later," they cheered, including Dad, "But I'll be home before 10," they boo-ed. Seriously? "C'mon, Jace, let's get wasted! You need to be shaken up. Don't lock yourself here," Rae said, and they all agreed, except for Mom.
"Fine, whatever," I said, as I rolled my eyes. "Great, we'll fix you later," I was about to protest but Mom and Dad stood up.
"We'll go now, mi hija."
"Okay, mom," sabi ko tsaka siya yinakap. "Bye, dad." I guided them towards the door and bid our goodbyes then went back to the kitchen.
"Where are we going later anyway?" tanong ko sa kanila pagkarating ko sa kusina. "To the club, of course," Kar gave me a 'duh' look. Aish, these girls.
"Whatever." I mumbled.
I was about to cook something but my phone rang. The three girls all looked at me.
"Hi, Shyrvielle, speaking," I said as I put my phone on speaker. The caller answered that gave me goosebumps.
"Hello, heiress," the caller responded with a deep voice.
"Shit," we all said. After we said that, the caller laughed loudly. "Guys, seriously? You can't recognize my voice?" then he continued to laugh.
"Kuya?!"
"Zaphry?!"
The four of us exclaimed that made the caller, a.k.a. my older brother, laugh so hard that he's about to die. I just pacefalmed and ended the call.
Not a nice prank at all, kuya.
"He's such a jerk sometimes," Rae said with a bored look. "I know, right? Maybe he's bored again, tss," Chlisté responded to Rae.
I was just listening to their conversation when my phone rang again. This time, it was Karla who picked up my phone and answered the call.
"Stop with your childish antics, Zaphry, or else," she threatened my brother. "Okay, okay geez. Calm down, girl," I just shook my head at my brother's answer. "I just called to warn Shy about her last target's family. They're searching."
"Let them be. As if they can identify me."
"You're not worried at all?" Rae asked me, "When did I get worried about that? I act worried, yes, but actual worried? Nah," she just shrugged at my reaction. "Be careful, Shy," my brother warned again before hanging up.
