Hello people I am back. Here is the next chapter. The siblings will be going to high school for the first time!

I am confident that I have watched enough TV shows and movies to know how American High schools are like but if I'm wrong please correct me nicely.

Also, I want to thank MidnighRose55 for reading my story and giving me awesome advice and for shouting me out! Thank you so much!

If anyone reading this story likes my writing style (not sure that anywone would like it to be honesty) you should check out my other story that I am also currently writing called 'My Brazilian Soulmate' I'm only on chapter 5 but you should check it out and see how you like it if you want.

Warning: some mild swearing in English and in Italian.

Ok, anyways, on with the story.

Olivia's POV:

I wake up from my spot on the floor. My first night in America was plagued with nightmares about that dreadul night almost 2 years ago.

When people told me that things will get better over time. They were wrong. Sure, nowadays my flashbacks only occur in my sleep, or sometimes if I let myself drift away during the day, but for the first year they would occur all the time through the day and through the night. It was exhausting, having to relive the worst day of my life over and over again.

I know my siblings haven't had it any easier either but all of us have gotten better in the past year. My mother on the other hand, is a different story.

My mother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when she was a teenager. She had her struggles but when she met my dad and started taking her medication regularly we lived a relatively decent life.

Don't get me wrong, we weren't wealthy we had a lot of fights like any other italian family and my mother would sometimes spend days at a time stuck in her bed because of her disorder. She didn't talk to anyone, she didn't eat she just stayed in the dark in her bedroom. Growing up it was really hard on all of us to see our mother go through that. But compared to how our life is like today I would give anything to go back to that time.

My back is sore from sleeping on the floor and I slowly try and wake up my sisters.

"Cami, Talia," I whisper, shaking them a little.

"Cosa vuoi?" (what do you want) complains Talia.

"It's time to wake up. We have school today!" I say, shaking her a little harder.

"Wake up the boys first I'm tired," she says

"Well you shouldn't have been on your phone all night then," I retort

"Please just 5 more minutes,"

"Fine. Cami are you coming?" I ask my other sister.

"No, I need 5 more minutes too," I roll my eyes and go to my brothers' room.

After shaking Leo for who know how long and him not even opening his eyes I go and see if I can wake up Dani but thankfully he's already out of bed.

"I'll go make breakfast ok?" he says.

"Thanks, I'll try and wake up Jaco," I tell him. Dani and I are the only early birds in this family.

"Jaco, Jaaaacoooo" I say whilst lightly slapping my little brother's cheeks.

Like Leo he doesn't stir. I sigh and go help Dani make breakfast.

There wasn't much in the kitchen. The only food was what Leo, Jaco and I bought from the supermarket yesterday. So some cereal and eggs.
