Author's Note (Must Read)

This is an Ushiten fanfiction which I had put off for too long. Honestly if Aragamer3ov , Maykim77 , PpronesianParrapio , ChimChim_Productions , _ImBiOkay , AvyuktaJoshi and hugssfordrugs hadn't motivated me, I'd be stuck on worrying about my studies and forgetting about stuff I love. So now I'll start writing which is probably my first full length fanfiction.

For this fanfiction, Ushijima and Tendou have been friends since forever because their parents were best friends. Mr. Tendou and Mrs. Ushijima were best friends while Mr. Utsui (Ushijima's dad) and Mrs. Tendou were best friends.

Starry Eyes: Hanahaki AU x Hoshisusuri/Susurihoshi AU

Hanahaki: {Hana(flower) + Hakimasu(to throw up)}

Cause: Unrequited love

Symptoms: Lungs are affected. Favourite flower plants of the person they love growing in their lungs. The patient will start coughing out these flowers along with blood as they act like a blockage in the airways of the lungs and respiratory system. The flowers will grow in size and number until they completely block the respiratory system and clog every the chest and throat cavity. Pain in the chest and throat. Eventual death.

Treatment: The best treatment is to confess love and being loved back. But, if that does not work, surgeries are widely available which will safely remove the plants and they will cease to grow.

Aftereffects: After the growth of flowers ceases, the lungs will remain in a weakened state. Complete recovery may take months or even years. If the patient opted for surgery, all emotions and feeling for the person of affection will be erased completely.

Hoshisusuri/Susurihoshi: {Hoshi(star) +Susurinaku(to sob)}

Cause: Unrequited Love

Symptoms: Eyes and optic nerves are affected. Bright, shining, illuminated crystals are formed in tear ducts. The colour of the light the crystals emit can be used to determine the favourite colour of the person who the patient loves. These crystals flow out with tears triggered due to the disease. The crystals contain enough brilliance to completely flood the patient's vision with light. Though it may sound beautiful, this blinds the patient slowly. The crystals increase in brightness as time passes, accelerating the damage. Usually it causes only a little deterioration in sight but in serious cases the patient may suffer from colour-blindness or even become completely blind.

Treatment: The best treatment is to confess love and to be loved back. But, the patient may opt for a surgery. Unlike Hanahaki, this surgery is not as readily available. It is much more delicate and may have a lot of complications if not done properly.

Aftereffects: After confession, the patient retains the damage done by the disease. Wearing glasses is recommended.
