I pull into the driveway finally home from work. I took a little bit longer because I stopped at the floral shop to buy Delilah's favorite flowers. I wanted to give her something special since I know that she hasn't been feeling well. She told mom and I that her stomach flu is gone seven days ago but I know that she lied so I am going to try to convince her to go to the doctors so she could get looked at. I get out of the car grabbed the flowers and headed inside. As soon as I opened the door, I smelt my mom's favorite casserole that my dad used to make before he died.

"Hey mom. I say giving her a hug. Handed her the flowers and she put them in a vase for Delilah and she set them on the table.

"Hi, Jace." she replies as I try to sneak a piece of the casserole. "Oh no you don't. Don't come in here taking some of dinner. It's almost done." I smirk while she was swatting my hand away from dinner.

"Alright, I'm going to my room to see if Delilah's up." I reply as I walk away. As I get closer to my room, I hear Delilah crying. I pick up my pace my heart racing. "Delilah?!" I walk in my room and she wasn't there. My heart starts racing even more. I look around the hallway to try and pinpoint where she could be. I saw the bathroom light on, and I run there and knocked on the door. "Delilah?!?" No one answered so I banged on the door again. "Delilah!" I shout panicking. As I go to pound on the door again the door opens and Delilah's standing there. Her eyes are red, and she has a sad smile. "Delilah? Are-" She pulls me into the bathroom and locks the door. She walks over to the side of the tub and sits down. "Delilah-"

"I'm pregnant." She interrupts, I swallow as my heart sinks.

"What?!" I say caught off guard.

"I. Am. Pregnant."

"How far?"

"I don't know maybe three weeks maybe more."

"Jesus..."

"Why does it seem like you're upset?"

"I'm not it's just a lot to take in." I reply sitting on the floor in front of the bathroom door. She gets up and walks over to me and sits down. She puts her head on my shoulder. That was the reason why she was throwing up a lot.

"I'm scared that I'm going to be a terrible mother. I'm terrified that I'm going to accidently hurt the child." she says softly. I sigh as I wrap my arms around her and bring her to where she's on my lap.

"You won't hurt the child nor will you be a terrible mother. Trust me." I can't believe I got her pregnant. That wasn't supposed to happen. Would she want an abortion? I don't want to ask in case she gets mad at me for asking. What would I tell my mom? "Delila...." I say. "Uh, are you uh.... um are you-"

"Yes, Jace?" She asks.

I stumble through my words. "What are we going to do?" She smiles sadly against my chest

"I think I should talk to your mom. Maybe she can help me think. I don't think that I would want to... I don't think I should... you know terminate the pregnancy." I sigh in relief that she won't get an abortion. Would my mom get mad? Would she be happy? Excited? Want us to leave her house?

"Alright." I say. "Let's go tell mom." She gets up and holds out her hand to help me up. "I can get up. You don't need to help me." I say taking her hand anyway.

"I know." She says softly. I wonder what she's thinking about. Once I am on my feet she stretches, my eyes immediately go to her stomach. Her stomach had a little bump that shows the start of her pregnancy. I walk to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I love you." I say as we walk out to the living room.

"I love you too." She replies. We get to the living room and mom was right there.

"Oh!" She exclaims putting her hands to her chest. "You guys scared me! I was about to come get you guys for dinner-"

"Mom," I interrupt. "We need to talk to you." She blinks a couple times then confusion grew on her face.

"Okay?"

"Can we go sit and talk while we eat?" Delilah asks.

"Yeah, sure." Mom replies confused. We all sat down and started eating.

"So, mom, you remember when you said that you wanted me to be happy?" She nods her head and I continued. "Okay well, I am really happy to be with Delilah as-"

"I'm pregnant!" Delilah blurts out. Mom's jaw drops, surprised. Then out of nowhere she gets up and runs over to Delilah and gives her a hug. I hear mom mumble something to Delilah. Delilah's bright blue eyes start to water. She locks eyes with mine and bites her lip as a tear slides down her face.
