After I got off the phone with Dexter, I finished cutting my hair. I sat on the motel bed and flipped through the papers that Dexter secretly gave me as what it was supposed to be discharge papers. I was shocked the Dexter was my brother. My half-brother. It broke my heart to find out my parents struggled after they put me up for adoption. I sigh and felt very alone. I miss Jace I open my new phone and started dialing his number. Then an idea formed in my head. I could go undercover to visit him. But then that's a bad idea because what if whoever's after me could be watching Jace. I don't want to risk it. No matter how much I miss him. I sigh again closed the phone and folded the papers up. I shoved them in my jacket and got dressed. As I put my sunglasses on, I caught myself in the mirror. I almost didn't recognize myself. A tear fell from my eye and I quickly wiped it away and collected myself. I looked away grabbing my motel key and left. I headed to the closest bar and walked in. I walked over to the bartender and asked for a water. I take a sip and looked around. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I whipped around catching that hand and twisted it. The I saw the familiar brown eyes and released the arm. It was Dexter.

"Sorry. How'd you find me?" I asked. He rubbed his wrist and looked at me confused.

"What do you mean? I just saw a pretty girl and wanted to buy her a drink." He replies sounding confused. I then realized that he didn't recognize me. I chuckle internally, and he said that he was worried about me being found.

"Hmmm... would you still buy this girl a drink and plan to have sex with her if her name was..." I lean into his ear. "Peaches?" I ask using our code word. I lean back and watched him. Shock, embarrassment, and pure shame crossed his face.

"Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't know. Come on, follow me." He says as his face turns beet red. He leads me into the men's restroom. He looks in all the stalls, locks the bathroom door and turns to me. "Delilah, do you realize how dangerous it is to go wandering around the streets? Jesus Christ, Delilah." He shakes his head.

"Yes, I do know how dangerous it is. But you have to admit that I do a damn good job at blending in. Hell, you didn't even recognize me!" I look down as my face flushes and I mumble. "Besides I got lonely and my thoughts weren't helping me."

"Granted you can blend in but still it's too dangerous wandering around. If you would've came to my safe house, you wouldn't be lonely." He fires at me and I got pissed. I gave him the death glare.

"Well, if you weren't there when I got kidnapped, I would probably trust you!" I fire back. "I can protect myself."

"Yeah, I know. My wrist still hurts." He says softly then he straightened up and looked serious. "After I got off the phone with you, I got a text from Joe."

"Who's Joe?" I ask.

"Did you read the papers that I gave you at all?"

"Well, kind of...." He sighs and shakes his head.

"Joe is the person who's after you. Anyway, he texted me and said that he has a female going by the name of Satrina. She's supposedly sniffing Jace out. He said that she found him drunk as hell. They are starting to put the pieces together that you aren't home anymore and there's a possibility that they could be in more danger. AND it'll be more dangerous for you to be alone." I growl in frustration, no matter where I go, they are in danger. Ever since I joined their family, they have been in more danger than they were when I wasn't there. I take a deep breath to calm myself down. Getting worked up over it isn't going to do anything to help the problem at hand.

"Fine, I'm not going to your house I'm going back to the motel. You can come with if you want but I'm not going to your house." I tell him sternly.
