JJ and I were cuddled up on my basement's couch, there was a movie on but neither of us were really watching. I was scrolling through TikTok and he was doing whatever on his phone. Stopping on a certain video, I slightly shifted so that JJ wouldn't be able to see my screen super easily. The video was of a girlfriend recording how her boyfriend's reaction when she tied up her hair in front of him. Wanting to see how JJ would react if I did that, I untangled myself from his hold as I stood up off the couch.
"I'll be right back, I'm just going to get a glass of water. Do you want anything?" I asked him, using the water as an excuse to leave.
"I'm good babe." He replied before readjusting his position so that he was sitting up straighter.
The plan was to come back and sit in front of the couch on the floor so that I would be more eye level with his crotch. It'd make it seem more suggestive even though I had no intention of doing anything. I had a feeling my plan would work since I almost always wore my hair down, rarely pulling it back. The fact that JJ had sat up a little more before I left made it even more perfect.
Filling up a glass of water, I made my way back down to the basement. Placing my water cup down on the coffee table, I took a seat on the floor in front of him.
"What're you doing babe?" JJ asked questioningly as he raised his eyebrows up in suspicion.
Acting nonchalant, I waved off his question. Settling myself comfortably between his legs on the floor in front of him, I pretended to turn my attention back towards the movie so that he wouldn't be as suspicious of my actions.
Humming to himself, he seemed satisfied and allowed me to get comfortable. Waiting a few minutes I set up my phone against the base of the coffee stand, out of his eyesight but still angled so that I would be able to capture his reaction to the prank.
Pretending to stretch, I turned to face him. Once I felt his gaze on me, I began to pull my hair up into a ponytail.
"Uh, babe?" JJ questioned as he watched me.
"Yeah?" I responded.
"You sure everything is like -- okay?" He asked trying to sound innocent, even though I could see his eyes beginning to darken.
Nodding in response, I adjusted myself so that I was sitting back on my heels. Finishing pulling my hair up, I began to twist my elastic in.
Watching JJ shift forward so that he was sitting closer to me, I knew exactly what his mind was thinking. Him readjusting himself confirmed what he thought I was going to do as well. Biting my lip so that I wouldn't laugh, I glanced slyly at my phone camera that was still recording.
Pulling my pony tight, I faked just noticing JJ moving to the edge of the couch. Now staring at me, like he was ready for some action.
"JJ?" I asked. "Why are you moving closer?"
"Oh- um- I" he started, clearly stumbling over his words as he thought he was caught.
"Oh my gosh," I said with fake shock. "Were you? Were you thinking that-"
Rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, JJ laid back on the couch clearly embarrassed.
"No JJ no," I said laughing now. "Can't a girl just put her hair up?"
Waving his hands around as he began talking he exclaimed half-joking "Y/N you never wear your hair up except for like you know, and you're eye level with me. What'd you think I would think was going to happen bitch?!"
Unable to hold back my laughter anymore I burst out uncontrollably. Standing up from the floor, I jumped onto JJ hugging him as I peppered his face with kisses.
"It was a prank babe," I said cooing lovingly.
"I saw a TikTok of a girl doing it and wanted to do it to you too. See look," I said pointing to my phone at the coffee table "I was even recording your reaction. Pretty funny by the way"
Groaning JJ pulled me into a hug with a pout. "You're so mean to me Y/N. I was excited!"
Pushing myself off of him I turned and grabbed my phone so that I could stop the video before I curled into his side.
"Maybe another day bubs," I said kissing his cheek.
