As I was out of the matron's room, in the hallway, I heard footsteps running toward me.
I turned around but darkness took over me.
Arms circled me and I knew I was in a hug.
I looked up a little and saw it's Harry.
"Harry?" I asked but it came out muffled.
"I'm sorry" he said stepping back from the hug.

"I just wanted to hug you, we haven't been talking a lot, and Neville told us what happened, and I wanted to thank you" He kept babbling.
I chuckled, "I know Neville may not see it, but he really has great friends" I said, smiling gratefully.
Harry asked me, "don't you have friends?"
"Other than Draco? There's my childhood friend, Alexander, but he's a Hufflepuff, I rarely see him in classes" I shrugged.
"Well you have me, Ron and Neville!" JE said excitedly.
"Hermione still hates me?"
"She pretty much hates anyone who's in close contact with Malfoy"
I just laughed it off.
"Thank you, Harry"
He nodded.
I left after that.

"Draco, you're acting like a child!" I yelled at him.
It was late afternoon, three days after, even after all the classes, and Draco still hasn't spoken to me.
"Draco, how many times will I apologize? When you've been torturing Neville" I asked.
He was seriously making me angry.
"Fine" I grumbled, picking myself off the couch, "If you don't want to talk, have it your way" I grabbed Eva.
"At what cost do you want to lose our friendship? An ego?" I spat.
I left the House's living room.
And ran outside.
Thankfully Eva stayed with me as I walked into the forbidden forest.
My priority for now was to find a deer or a magical spider, and see if I can control it.
To my luck, a small deer was walking around.
I looked at it, and noticed she was really calm, relaxed, she doesn't notice me walking around.
"Imperio" I whispered.

At first nothing happened, but as I got closer, the deer didn't move, it stayed Stoic and stable.
I thought of her kneeling, on her front.
And she did.
She kneeled.
Then I imagined her laying on her side.
That, as well, she did it.
I smiled.
The Imperius curse worked.
I left the deer off the curse, once it came to it senses, it ran off for its life.
Eva was looking at me proudly.
She's always happy whenever I master a new spell, whether it was good or bad, she would always support. She purred coming closer to my legs.
I smiled.

I went back to our House, it was past midnight, which meant everyone should be asleep.
But Draco, was still there.
He looked up once I walked it.
"I'm sorry" he whispered.
I exhaled, "Good night, Draco"
As I was walking towards the stairs, Draco's hand encircled my wrist, pulling me his way.
I forced my wrist out of his hand.
"You don't get to make a mistake and just apologize for it Draco!" I snapped at him.

His eyes opened widely.

"I won't hand my friendship or loyalty to you on a plate of gold just because you're a Malfoy, Draco, if you want me, then bloody act like it" I ranted.

"They are nothing but mud bloods and weak that you are talking to!" he yelled at me, "running with their tails between their legs, and you want to be friends with them? When you have a strong ally-"

"I don't care about titles Draco! So many people fall out of them with just a snap of finger!" I said throwing my hands up in the air, then putting them in my hair, "You'll be begging for their help one day Draco, and guess what? Titles won't do you any bloody Merlin good, and I would rather have down to earth friends than cocky person"

"Fine! Suit yourself! Be friends with the Griffin dorks and betray your blood!"
I chuckled, dropping whatever fight we had.
Just as I made it to the top of the stairs, I said clearly, "My own blood betrayed me Draco, I wouldn't hesitate to betray them either" I spat.
I walked to my room.
Once I opened the door.
I broke down in tears.
Crying.
Not for the loss of friendship.
Not for the fight.
But for the betrayal.
The betrayal of blood.
And the high hopes I had for Draco.
Eva purred coming close to me, laying on my lap as tears streamed down my face.
I smiled sadly down on her.

Unknown to me, Harry noticed and followed Snape into the Forbidden Forest by broomstick where he meets Quirrell and they speak of the Philosopher's Stone.

"... d-don't know why you wanted t-t-to meet here of all p-places, Severus..."

"Oh, I thought we'd keep this private," said Snape, his voice icy. "Students aren't supposed to know about the Sorcerer's Stone, after all."

Harry leaned forward. Quirrell was mumbling something. Snape interrupted him.

"Have you found out how to get past that beast of Hagrid's yet?"

"B-b-but Severus, I--"

"You don't want me as your enemy, Quirrell," said Snape, taking a step toward him.

"I-I don't know what you--"

"You know perfectly well what I mean."

An owl hooted loudly, and Harry nearly fell out of the tree. He steadied himself in time to hear Snape say, " -- your little bit of hocus-pocus. I'm waiting."

"B-but I d-d-don't--"

"Very well," Snape cut in. "We'll have another little chat soon, when you've had time to think things over and decided where your loyalties lie."

He threw his cloak over his head and strode out of the clearing. It was almost dark now, but Harry could see Quirrell, standing quite still as though he was petrified.

Harry thinks that Snape is trying to force Quirrell to help him get the stone so he can get rich, to the alarm of both Ron and Hermione who fear Quirrell will talk.

"We won! You won! We won!" shouted Ron, thumping Harry on the back. "And I gave Malfoy a black eye, and Neville tried to take on Crabbe and Goyle single-handed! He's still out cold but Madam Pomfrey says he'll be all right -- talk about showing Slytherin! I've waiting for you in the common room, we're having a party, Fred and George stole some cakes and stuff from the kitchens."

"Never mind that now," said Harry breathlessly. "Let's find an empty room, you wait 'til you hear this..."

He made sure Peeves wasn't inside before shutting the door behind them, then he told them what he'd seen and heard.
