Headed to the Akatsuki

Naruto read over the note on the way to a training session. He rolled his eyes and made a mental note to head there when there was a mission on that side of the lands. Though Naruto wouldn't have to wait long. As he walked to the training ground, he turned when he heard somebody call out to him.

"Hey, Naruto." Naruto turned and he saw Ino. Ino walked up with her hair in a ponytail and she spoke.

"Hey, what's up?" Naruto asked, and Ino sighed folding her arms.

"Despite our rough beginning, I heard you are good with advice. At least that's what Shikamaru said." Naruto chuckled.

"Is that all he said? Nothing else?" Naruto said and Ino tilted her head but nodded.

"A shame." Naruto started folding her arms. "He doesn't even talk about me. Rude." Ino rolled her eyes but found herself smiling.

"Hello! Didn't I say I needed advice." Naruto hummed a little.

"Is this about your love for Sakura? Or your love for Sai?" Naruto said and Ino scoffed.

Shikamaru had warned her about his brute honesty, and how he is perceptive of things. Of course with a little careful eye he would be able to know every secret that person had.

Yet she couldn't understand why Shikamaru found that even remotely attractive.

"Here's what I say." Naruto said marinating over the facts he had in his head. Humming a little.

"You can have both. Sai for heirs, and Sakura for a little spice." Naruto said shrugging. Ino rolled her eyes.

"And how would I go about that?" Naruto snorted as he looked at Ino. The female wasn't bad, she finally realized she didn't like Sasuke, which made team teamwork so much better.

"Ask Shikamaru, I'm here for advice. Not Guidance, Ino-chan." Ino scoffed and shoved Naruto which made Naruto smile.

"You know despite breaking my nose, you aren't too bad." Naruto smiled a little, though his smile was directed to seeing Shikamaru.

"Thanks Ino. You aren't too bad either." Naruto hummed and jumped on Shikamaru's back, listening as Choji chuckled and Shikamaru groaned.

"I'm going to drop you." Shikamaru said but Naruto smiled and wrapped his legs around Shikamaru's waist. Happily attached himself to Shikamaru.

"So as I was saying....." Choji tilted his head, and stopped talking. Trailing a little. He saw that he had Shikamaru's undivided attention, but what grabbed his attention was a hickey. Something that was exposed when Naruto ruffled Shikamaru's clothing.

"You two are getting serious." Naruto looked up, blinking at Choji with a questioning face.

"Huh?" Shikamaru asked, and Naruto hummed.

"Eh? Serious? Shikamaru didn't ask me to marry him." Shikamaru rolled his eyes.

"Not now vixen." Shikamaru said and Naruto hummed.

"A hickey." Shikamaru looked down and nodded his head. No embarrassment, because he knows what he and Naruto engages in when the younger is in the mood, and quite frankly Shikamaru seems to be obsessed too.

Choji wasn't shocked by their expression, Shikamaru had been infatuated with Naruto for a while, and clearly Naruto was interested. So he only sighed but Ino clearly looked at the hickey, then to the couple if they even were a couple and then to Asuma.

Asuma was just letting the teens talk and or debate. He was keeping an eye on Naruto. Apparently his father is afraid Naruto would 'sneak' to see somebody on mission. Though Asuma was confused by the amount Hawks and Crows coming to check up on Naruto and speaking of crow.

"A love letter from Sasuke?" Shikamaru asked, and Naruto chuckled.

"No this one is from my brother in-law." Naruto said and everybody looked to Shikamaru.

"Shikamaru doesn't have a brother...." Ino said skeptically. To which Naruto chuckled.

"Of course he doesn't. I do, and I can't wait for you all to meet him!" Naruto said and everybody looked at him to where to he made a face.

"Oops, y'all wasn't supposed to know I have a brother.... so uhm keep this a secret Yeah?" Everybody nodded their heads and headed to the Hokage tower, while Naruto'
jumped off Shikamaru's back and laced their hands together.

Shikamaru tilted his head. How could Naruto know he had a brother if he didn't know who his parents were. Unless Naruto knew everything. Which was fine, Naruto deserved to know his family but if Naruto really likes him, like he says he does, why would he hide that from him.

"Your mate is uneasy."

"I'll talk to him."

The Land of rivers is where they were heading. Naruto hummed as he would have to send a clone to talk to the Akatsuki, when his sensei was sleep so he couldn't sense it. Actually, Naruto had a better idea.

"Sensei, I need to grab toothbrush from the store real quick." Naruto took off to the closest store once Asuma approved it. He bought a toothbrush but made a clone. The clone went out the back and headed on his journey while Naruto headed back to show his toothbrush.

"Look it has foxes on them!" He declared which made team ten chuckle a little. Naruto latched onto Shikamaru like always and walked with his team, heading to a mission he was going to put little to no effort in.

The walk was quiet and Naruto eyes darted to the tree line. Somebody was watching them, and it wasn't an enemy. Should Naruto just kill them now? Or should he play stupid. Naruto blinked and his eyes captured something shiny and so Naruto spoke.

"Sarutobi-San." Naruto said calmly, too calmly for anybody else right now. Asuma was a little worried though Naruto's training had been doing so well lately.

Perfectly even.

"I know your father is the Hokage and my relationship with him isn't the best. Though I hope that since you are my teacher, that you trust me, even if it's a little." Asuma didn't need to contradict anything.

It was true.

He believed in Naruto, even if he wanted his father and Danzo dead. Asuma knew it would be for a better village

"I trust you with my life Naruto." Naruto's eyes blinked and he drew a Kunai and deflected the one that was being aimed directly at him.

"Great, so I'll kill the bastard and you watched the kiddos." Naruto was gone before anything could be said, but Asuma hummed and guarded the Genin.

This was about to get ugly.
