Michaels awoken by the feeling of the bed dipping behind him and peeks an eye open, turning to see a messy head of brunette hair cuddling up to him. He smiles and rolls over to face the boy, pulling him into his chest and pecking his lips.

"Morning babyboy. Been a while since you've been in daddy's bed, huh? I've missed my morning cuddles." He chuckles and Calum grins.

"Sorry." He mumbles and Michael shakes his head.

"I don't mind baby, Luke needs his cuddles too." Michael smiles.

"I like Lukey." Calum says and blushes, burying his face in mikeys chest.

"I know you do baby, you guys are really good friends." Mikey says, confused as to why Calum felt the need to state that.

"No daddy, I really like Lukey." Calum mutters and Michael frowns.

"What do you mean sweet boy?"

"I like like Lukey, daddy." It's silent for a minute and Calum looks up.

"Is that bad? I'm sorry." Calum says worriedly and Michael snaps out of his thoughts and shakes his head.

"No, honey, you don't have to apologize, it's not bad. Listen, I know you've been spending a lot of time with Lukey so it's easy to feel that way, but Lukey has a daddy, who's also his boyfriend, like you. It- I-" Michael's kind of unsure of how to explain this to Calum. He understands, he's not mad about it, he would "like like" Luke as well if he wasn't keeping in mind that the blonde has a boyfriend and he needs to be a friend and caregiver for him right now, there's no place for that. Little Calum probably can't understand that yet. Michael's pretty sure if Calum were big he would too and wouldn't have said anything.

"Lukey can't like us because of his daddy?" Calum asks and Michael sighs. "But his daddy isn't even here." Calum pouts.

"I know baby, but Luke still loves him." Michael explains and Calum frowns.

"Lukey can love more than one person." Calum argues.

"If Lukey did things with us like he does with his daddy it would be considered cheating, love." Michael explains and Calum pouts, no longer speaking. It's a few minutes before a messy blonde head of hair is peeking around the door frame.

"Hi Lu." Michael greets and Calum looks up.

"Lukey! Come cuddle." Calum demands and Luke smiles and looks to Mikey for permission to come into his room. Michael nods and Luke pads in and crawls in next to Calum, snuggling up to the boy sleepily. Calum turns so he's facing Luke and pecks lukes cheek before sending a look to Michael that the caregiver thinks translates to mischief or challenge, and Michael frowns. Calum simply turns his head back to Luke and continues cuddling.

After about fifteen minutes, the three get up and get ready to start their day. Michael thinks it may be his imagination, but Calum seems particularly clingy to Luke today, barely un-attaching himself unless absolutely necessary.

After lunch, the boys excuse themselves to go play in the playroom upstairs and Michael reluctantly allows it, figuring everything is fine, maybe he'll just check on them a bit more often.

The two play as normal for a while, rough housing and throwing stuffies (bunny sits on top of a shelf, never again subjected to such treatment) before they get tired and collapse in the bean bag chair together, giggling.

When their breathing returns to normal, Calum grins at Luke.

"Do you wanna play a pretend game?" Calum asks and Luke nods.

"Let's play house." Calum says and Luke frowns.

"How do we play that?"

"We'll be daddies, and the stuffies can be our kids." Calum explains.

Luke shrugs. "Okay." They pretend to put the kids to bed and then Calum exclaims "we need to go to bed too!" They go to the bean bag and lay down.

"You know what married people do when they go to bed Lukey?" Calum asks and Luke frowns and shakes his head.

"They kiss goodnight! Good night husband!" Calum giggles before puckering up his lips. Luke frowns and giggles.

"Kiss?! I'm pretty sure we're only supposed to kiss our daddies." Luke laughs and Calum shrugs.

"It's just for the game, we're just playin. You don't have to if you do want to but it's just pretend." Calum explains and Luke thinks about it and shrugs.

"I guess so." He says. "Goodnight husband!" He replies before puckering up too and leaning forward.

Calum doesn't hesitate to lay one on Luke for a good three seconds before pulling away and giggling. The two pretend to sleep for a few seconds before "waking up."

"Married people kiss when they wake up too." Calum whispers and Luke giggles and kisses Calum again.

Calum makes sure to include lots of opportunities for the two to kiss while they play, until Michael comes and checks on them, noting the two boys playing with stuffies with red cheeks that he attributes to playing hard and getting hot and tired.

"Are you boys ready for a snack?" He asks and they grin and nod.

"Yes please!" Luke answers and stands to run downstairs. Calum follows with Michael close behind, not saying a word to the man.

"So what have you guys been playing?" Michael asks as he starts cutting up fruits and veggies for a snack.

"House." Luke answers and Calum glances to him worriedly. He wasn't lying to Luke, they were just playing, but he also knows that Michael won't be happy if Luke says they were kissing, even if it was pretend, especially after the conversation they had this morning.

"House?" Michael asks and Luke nods.

"We were the daddies and the stuffies were the kids." Luke answers and Michael nods, seeming to think nothing of it.

"Oh, were you good daddies?" He asks.

"Yep!" Luke answers. Michael hands them their food and they eat quickly, Calum still silent, before running back upstairs to play some more.
