Welcome to the Divided World.
A land of corruption and radicalism.
Welcome to the Land of Fear.
Where voices become lost and every word twisted by the game.
A place where opinions sew distrust and civility is dead.
I dare to fight against it.
My opinions and beliefs are primed for my slaughter.
Yet I will never bow and be the masses' daughter.
Blindness and bitterness leech all sides.
No true winners as world views collide.
Yet I defy this world.
Who are you to tell me my voice means nothing?
How dare you proclaim that my life is yours to subdue?
I did not defy my own mind ripping itself apart and the dark voices crooning at me to jump to live in a world that tells me I should have!
I will not let you steal my heart.
I dare to defy both sides, for I am not of this world, though I live in it.
I care too much, though I wish I didn't.
So welcome one and all to the Divided world!
Welcome to the Land of Fear!
Try to stomach its anthem!
I'll be waiting here.
I will not live for you.
I'll be waiting here.
And here I'll dare to be me.
So don't you dare try to stifle those who fight to be free.
I'll be waiting here for you and me.
