I heard some footsteps in the stairs, and someone knocked at my door.
"Come in.", I answered. My father walked into my room.
"Yes, father?"
"You have received a letter." I took the letter he was handing me and read it.'Y/n, we are glad to welcome you to Hogwarts, school of witchcrafts and wizardry for your 3rd school year.'
I looked at my dad, confused.
"I thought I wasn't allowed to go to Hogwarts?" I asked.
"Your mother and I have decided to let you go this year and see how it goes. Plus, since your brother has been there since Year 1, he can help you around the school.".
" Thank you father!"
My father only nodded, but as he turned around to get out of my room, I saw a smile playing on his lips.I ran out of my room and into my brother's one.
"Did father tell you already?", I asked.
"Tell me what?" He asked, perplex.
"I'm going to hogwarts with you this year!" I informed him. He looked at me, stunned.
"Wait, what?"
"Isn't that great?" I said, excited.
"You mean I'm gonna have to tolerate you all year?" He groaned.
"I should have expected you'd say that." I replied, rolling my eyes.
"What can I say? You're annoying" sighed my brother.
"Draco!" I yelled, before laughing. He laughed too."Jokes apart, I'm kinda stressed out..." I confessed.
"Don't worry, your big brother will be here to help you!" I smirked.
"You're only older than me by 30 minutes." Draco pretended he didn't hear me.
"I'm sure you'll do just fine" he added, before putting his arm around my shoulder. I put my head on his shoulder and smiled slightly. He then let me go, and I went back to my room.Draco didn't really like hugs, but I appreciated the fact he was still trying to give me some affection, in his own way.
I sat on my bed, and Caramel, my cat, jumped on my lap. I scratched his furry head. Petting him always helped me relax. After a while, I started packing my stuff, getting ready for my first year of school, which began in a week.
The next day, my brother came in my room at 8 am and yelled "Wake up!"
I woke up with a start. He laughed.
"Brat." I grumbled. "Why did you wake me up so early? We're still in vacations, and I was trying to rest."
"We're going to go buy our furnitures" answered my brother.
"Furnitures?" I repeated.
"School furnitures dummy."
He got out of my room and I changed into a simple white shirt and jeans. I joined my father and my brother in the living room.
"Where's mother?" I asked.
"She went to visit a friend" Answered my father. He teleported us to Diagon Alley, and I bought my books for the year. As we passed near the broom shop, I saw the new broom in the showcase. I stopped to look at it.
"It's so beautiful"
"Want it?" Asked my father.
"Yes please, father" I answered.
I always loved quidditch, so I was fascinated by brooms.
"I already have it" Draco remarked.
"Wait, what?"
"You have to accept the fact I'm the favorite, sis." Draco winked.
I groaned.
"What about you accept the fact I'm better than you at quidditch even though my broom is apparently lamer" I replied with a smirk.
"You're not!" He said, annoyed. I laughed. My father stepped out if the shop and handed me my new broom.
"Thank you father"
After we finished buying everything, we went home.Hey! Thank you for reading this first chapter! I hope you enjoyed it, and I'll write the second one as soon as possible. Please tell me what you think about it in the comments, and how I could improve my writing.
