Sorrowful... Regretful

When she was finally released from the past, she shook her hand to regain sense and looked at the statues. Glace looked at her and struggled to make the stones bring her out of the past. "Y-You weren't born yet?" CC asked him. "No... I wasn't yet. But even if I was it wouldn't have mattered. I tried reversing these effects of the ice magic, but unfortunately... it's permanent. I feel like I've failed in my life since the beginning. But of course, you already know how that feels." he replied sadly. "Yeah... I do. But I don't let it define me. I think I need to be careful about who I am now... especially since I have a dark side. Most Omega's get that too when they're first brought into the pack. But over the years, I've had help. I've had people who were loyal and I learned how to be true to myself." CC told him.

Glace shook himself out and eventually looked back at the young Apprentice who looked at him curiously. "You have a lot of courage in this dangerous world. I wish I could say I would be able to see the future of equality... but unfortunately, my time has come for me to leave this Earth... and join my master and the ancestors." he sighed. "Your dying?" CC asked surprised. "We all face death eventually dear one. No one can live forever. But I am not saddened by this, in fact, I am at peace with this ending of mine. I just wish someone could live my legacy for the rest of the centuries to come... but there can only be one dragon out in the world at once." Glace replied. "But how were you created?" CC asked confused. He then motioned towards the stones and flicked his tail to lift them up into the air.

"Master used the stones to then unite me, the most powerful creature of all time. I do not resemble all of the creatures physically, but perhaps if he had converted it from a human, things would be different. He refused to make the same mistakes twice though." Glace replied. "But there's no record of any of these people. Or of the incident that happened here." CC replied stunned. "There wouldn't be. Master was sure to get rid of any memories and records of his daughters and any previous leaders he selected. Then he used the stones to wipe the entire community's minds to make sure they would never remember their old leaders or his children. Then he elected the new leaders which were considered the first and made sure to put Phoenix's at the top. Of course, he put the others in a place on the structure chart. But he was sure to put Wildcats at the bottom... to ensure they would never be able to threaten the community again." he explained, his voice and his face were saddened by him just talking.

"So he did this to protect all of us? And that's why Wildcats don't have power, magic, or strength?" she asked him. "Yes... I told him that was a bad idea but... there's nothing I could do. I was just learning how to control the stones myself. When I first was created, I wanted to go out into the world and introduce myself as the protector of the lands, someone people could look to for hope. But no matter how many times I begged him to let me out of this cave... he said he wouldn't allow me to because he didn't want history to repeat history. He decided he'd allow only Academy leaders to know about me because if the world knew about me... they'd kill me or... try to steal this." he explained and took something from his chest.

CC looked up and saw he was showing her a small stone similar to the other stones. The only difference was, this one was white. "What does that one mean?" she asked. "It stands for Hope... so that no one may feel hopeless, and they can see the light in the darkness. But because I'm dying... this will probably disappear and become nothing. Since the stones aren't united as they should be." he explained. CC took out her drawstring baggie and looked at all the broken pieces of stones. "Can I, with your permission, use this?" CC asked him calmly pointing to the white stone. Glace looked at his stone one last time and relented. "I'm trusting you." he replied gravely. "Trust me, I think I know what to do." CC replied and carefully handled the stone.

She walked away from the graceful dragon and walked in the middle of the cave's center and laid out the stones with their color. Just focus... that's all you've gotta do. CC told herself and lifted them into the air. The stones all lit up a little bit as she spun them around for a minute, then lifted the white stone up into the air and in the middle of them. She then diverted the power from the white stone to the others as she made the broken pieces come back together. The stones began to glow between the cracks as they started to fuse together. "C'mon! I can do this!" CC stressed and the white stone did the rest to seal the cracks they had. She kept the stones up in the air as they made the place glow until she was and finally she fell over exhausted. The stones united once more and they fell at her sides along with the white stone.

Amazed by that she had done, Glace lifted the stones and saw there was now six total instead of there being a bunch of tiny chunks. CC finally got up and looked at the dragon who helped her up. He put her near his flank and wrapped his tail around her protectively. That's when he lifted the white stone and his eyes turned white. "Please, stones of Hope, Courage, Creativity, Loyalty, Mystery, and Power... give this young one power and my lifeform once she has saved her home, for my time has come. Allow her to fix the mistakes that my master has made... she will shine where the darkness overflows." Glace ordered. The stones glowed for a minute before they stopped.

Glace laid his head down, his breathing slowed down, and he closed his eyes. I only wish I got to see the sun. To see humans grow and see her rise as the new ruler. But in the end... she will be happy. The ancestors would want her to be. With one final breath, Glace passed away.
