Better Together Part 4

Fixing Everything

After taking a minute to look at one another, CC and the others were able to figure out. "We just gotta fix everything!" CC replied happily and walked all around. All over the place, everyone else was released from any curse, any spell, and any problem that was made. While everyone else was healed, CC realized that the protective shield for the Phoenix's territory was still up. "We've gotta go to the Academy, the spell from these stones wouldn't have crossed the kind of magic over there." CC told them. They all nodded and decided to head over to their home where everyone else was waiting.

When they arrived at their home, they saw the shield was still up. CC used the stones to break the shield which then allowed them to enter the territory. The other students watched as the shield came down and freaked out a little bit, but calmed down when they saw the Phoenix's come inside, along with the other heroes. Everyone cheered and began to rush over to hug their friends who were very tired from the long journey. "You're back!" "You're still alive!" "We've missed you!" were some of the comments that went around the place. That's when they noticed CC's new transformation and gasped. "She's not really a Phoenix anymore!" "What is she?" "Is it something new?" went new comments all around.

As bashful as she was feeling, CC knew she had to move on from them and headed towards the many statues of stone students and teachers. She made the stones swirl around a bit and then made their magic and power spread across their territory. As the power was spread across the land, firstly the Master Warriors were set free and they were shocked. Next, the Senior and Junior Warriors were allowed to move around and gasped and shook their wings out. Lastly, all the teachers and instructors were set free, happy to see their students and friends free. "Students!" Ms. Huddleston gasped and everyone raced over to hug their teachers and friends.

When they were able to feel better about everything. "It's good to see you all again! How did you do all of this?" she asked them once she looked at her students better. "Well, we decided we needed to work together if we were going to save you all. But if you're going to thank anyone, you should be thanking CC here. She's the one that was able to bring everyone together." Emery replied. The teachers looked at CC who was becoming shy from all the attention, but they gasped when they saw her transformation. "My goodness!" Ms. Rasnick gasped. "Are my eyes seeing things?" Mr. Caudill asked as he wiped his glasses. "My word! I've never seen anything like it!" Mr. Palmieri gasped. "Heh. Yeah! I've gotten that a lot today. I don't know what the big deal is." CC replied and looked down at her feet.

Ms. Huddleston smiled warmly and lifted CC's chin up. "Dear child, you've become a very rare creature. One that hardly anyone could have the honor of achieving. You see, there can only be one dragon in the land, otherwise, our land is overrun by the magic that isn't controllable. By your appearance, you seem to be the newest one... which means the latest one has died... but this means something more. You are also now the newest Ruler, not only the Academies but also all the lands. We are your citizens, Lady CC." she explained and back up to bow respectfully. CC couldn't believe what she was hearing and didn't know what to do when everyone else was doing the same. "Uh, oh, um. Gosh, I don't even know what to say! I uh... I'm not used to this kind of attention!" CC stuttered trying to hide her embarrassment.

"Oh relax! You've got this! Heck, you know we've all got your back!" Jose reassured giving her a nuggie. The others smiled at her and agreed as they hugged her tightly. The instructors and everyone else then looked over to Paige who looked away, her damaged wing clear view. "And you, you should be ashamed of yourself!" Ms. Huddleston snapped as she approached the broken Phoenix who looked down. "Do you realize how much danger and damage you've caused to this land! Clearly, you only care about yourself and your desire to selfishly feed your greed!" she added as she angrily taunted her. "Y-Yes ma'am I do. Which is why I deserve any punishment you want to give me. But I just want you all to know... I've already paid the price..." she sighed and motioned to her wing. "I know very well what I did was wrong. I wish I could've made better choices. I didn't know there was another way. I just thought I'd say that I'm sorry." she replied and held her head high, tears visible in her eyes.

No one really sympathized for her, no one else spoke for her, everyone just glared. She looked like she was about to break down, Ms. Huddleston's glare wasn't helping her either. "I'm a useless Phoenix now... but it doesn't matter... I got what I deserved..." Paige sighed. Even with all the anger, everyone had against her, CC's compassion outweighed it all. She walked up to the Phoenix, her head held up high. "Your right... what you've done isn't right. Nothing is excusable and I agree, you could've made much better choices." CC began harshly. "However, I believe everyone should be given a second chance if they're worthy enough." CC added which surprised both Paige and everyone else in the area. "As the new ruler of the lands, I hereby pardon you from all your crimes! But don't take this for granted, I expect you to do better, otherwise, I leave punishment ideas open." CC replied happily.

Paige was overwhelmed to hear this and gratefully bowed before her leader. "Thank you! I swear on my life I will change for the better!" she replied and the two hugged briefly. Once they were all settled, Ms. Huddleston approached CC and looked at her happily. "We, have a lot to discuss." she smiled. CC smiled and bowed before the rest of them. I wouldn't be where am I without you all. I just hope I can do this the right way. I won't fail you... I will rule the right way... for you Glace.

"I hereby welcome you all, the Ruler of Southrean North Acres!" Ms. Huddleston shouted. Everyone cheered. They knew she'd do amazing.
