So this one's short, but I wanted to get something out and I think it's pretty cute.

Grabbing Russel's hand you lead him down the trail. Both of you bundled in scarves, sweatshirts, and beanies. Both of you had a day off for the first time in what felt like forever and since he wanted to get to know you more, you decided to show him your idea of fun.
"So what's the goal here," he asked confused about this whole situation.
"Frogs. Find 'em," you replied shortly keeping your head to the ground while intently searching for fellow green friends.
"I- hun I don't wanna so rude, but what's the point of this. We aren't gonna keep them, are we?"
You press your lips together, close your eyes, and shake your head 'no'.
"Cute," he replies under his breath. "You're lucky you're cute."
Thankfully you were able to excuse your pink cheeks for the cold surrounding both of you.
You tightened your grip and carried on down the trail.
After about three more minutes of walking, Russel grabs your shoulders and stops you. You huff as the cold air envelopes your hand. He faces you to your left and points down at the leaf-covered ground.
"Is that one," he asks curiously.
You can't help but contain your excitement as you sneak over to the speckled friend and capture in your hands.
With a giant smile on your face, you walk over and press your body against Russel's so the frog can't jump away. Slowly, you take away your top hand and admire the small creature.
"It's a 'Lil baby one Russ!" you exclaim, probably more enthusiastic than you should be.
Though a little amusing creature is in the palm of your hand, he can't help but stare at you; Admire every feature in this seemingly perfect moment. Your hair blowing softly in the breeze. Your pinkish-red face covered in a captivating smile. Your smaller shivering body close to his. He was getting goosebumps and it wasn't because of the weather.
"Russ what should we name him?"
He pondered for a moment before settling on a name,
"Murdoc".
"Oh my gosh, that's perfect!"
"So what do we do with it now," he asks questioningly.
"We let it go," you say looking up at him and smiling.
You smirk at the confused look on his face and search for a place to set the frog.
"Wait why? We just got him," he says, seeming a little disappointed that he has to let go of his new friend.
"Well, he's got a life to live," you say with a small laugh.
Removing yourself from Russel's warm body, you find a little spot near the pond you found it and watch it hop away.
Your happy moment is cut short when your anxiety sets in. Did he even have a good time?
"I know this isn't normally what you do on your free days Russ, but I hope you're at least having a little bit of fun," you say looking down at your shoes.
"More than you could know, doll."
Looking back up at him you smile for about the millionth time today and peck his lips. Now he's the one attempting to hide his blush.
"You're so special, ya know that," he asks pulling you close and resting his head on yours.
"Thank you," you say bashfully. "Now let's go catch some more boys," you say grabbing his hand again and leading him down the trail once more.
