-Gabe's POV-
"XAPHAN?!" I turned the tap off in the kitchen, leaving my glass of water and bolted to my room, practically busting down the door to ensure Xaphan's safety. I assumed he was likely having PTSD flashbacks. I knew what that was like. After what happened with Asmodeus, I wasn't the same, but Sam nursed me back to my old self.
I owed my life to him.
I let my eyes dart around my room, scanning for any danger harming Xaphan. It didn't take me long to notice it.
Gusion had arrived, along with 3 other demons.
There was something odd about them though.
They had the same on/off carving in the side of their head, the blood completely drained from the incision.
They were the same corpses we examined, only now alive.
Xaphan sat by my desk, refusing to move out of complete fear.
Gusion closed his eyes for a moment, then reopened them, his eyes a deep red. A slight smirk appeared on his face, and so he began his little monologue, which I decided to listen to.
-Gusion's POV-
I was born 3 years after the youngest archangel, Gabriel, was created. God entrusted a few angels to create other angels by themselves. One of these angels was my father, Azazel. Xaphan was born a few months after I was. From the get-go, every angel knew that he was incredibly powerful. His wings could very easily shield about 2 humans from danger and, once he was born, his wings set alight, and burned ever since. No other angel has been recorded as having flame wings. It's always been feathers of all sorts of shades, until he was born. I used to think that, when Azazel created him, he decided to give him that characteristic, though, he mentioned to me that he had no involvement in that. It was just like when a human has offspring. You never know the outcome, and whether your child will be healthy or perish like the naïve, brittle being it is. Me and Xaphan were like best friends in Heaven. We did everything together, along with my other best friend, Lucifer. Everything was.. paradise. Then paradise became Hell. Literally. One day, Chuck presented to us his newest creation. Homo Sapiens. Humans. He told us to use them as vessels if needs be, but to bring love and happiness to them and help them when they needed it.
He told us that we should love them more than Him. That's when something in me just clicked.
I was never loved by my other father (Chuck). I was simply one of his many creations which he experimented with and professed his love unto, then discarded of and replaced once he got bored.
I was more than that.
We're all worth more than that.
I was not an experiment.
I was alive.
The chains which contained my free will broke.
Lucifer was the first to say no to God, then me, then 4 others, then 10, then 300,000. Our army grew fast, but, so did Heaven's army. I hoped that my little brother would join me. We promised each other that we would stick together no matter what and, when the time comes when we might need to fight, we'd be on the same side. We'd fight together. We'd die together. Our ashes or whatever remains there were would lay beside each other.
