So this is my first fan fiction about Harry. I write imagines, but this is my first actual story. Hopefully you guys will like it! And if you haven't noticed already, the baby girl in the picture will play Harry's daughter. Isn't she cute?! Make sure to vote and comment once you're done reading. xx

"Shhhh, it's okay, Eden. I'm here," Harry said as he lifted the toddler out of her crib and began to bounce her in his arms. The child had obviously had a nightmare and this was the only way Harry knew how to calm his screaming daughter down. She has been frequently having the same horrific nightmare that she's drowning and cannot reach the surface, but the only people who know are herself and Harry. The only reason Harry knows is because he took her to the doctor and pieced together the reasons why she'll wake up coughing, choking, and gasping for breath, almost vomiting due to the force of her coughing. After all, he was there when it happened.

Harry walked through the door and all he heard was an eerie silence, until he listened harder and heard the bath tub running. He gave a scoff at the used heroin needles he found on the table in the dining room. He wasn't surprised at the fact that she used again, but he was furious she would choose to do it while she was alone with their five month old child. "Amelia, we need to talk," he shouted at the bottom of the stairs hoping a familiar voice would respond, but all he could hear was suspicious laughter.

"Amelia?" he repeated the cry to his wife while walking up the stairs. The laugh became louder and louder as he saw a light from a door open and his clearly intoxicated spouse stumble out of the bathroom. Her eye makeup smeared across her face with sweat beads on her forehead. "Where's Eden?" he said with the anger building up in his eyes. Not even a cry, or babbling came from any corner of the house. That's when Harry ran up the remainder of the stairs with his eyes not leaving Amelias. "Where's my daughter?!" he shouted as he approached his wife, trying to literally shake her out of this irritating daze she was lost in. He ran past every door in the hallway upstairs until he went into the guest bathroom and found his little girl, lifeless under the water.

Without wasting a breath, he knelt beside the bathtub and scooped the blue lipped, wrinkly body out of the cold water. Like rivers, tears flowed from his eyes, as he laid the infant on a towel, while covering her with another to try and keep body heat. He called 911 and explained the horrific thing he walked into and the ambulance would be there in 3 minutes. Until then, he was instructed to do CPR. While he was attempting to find a small heartbeat in her fragile body, he heard a car screech in front of the house.

"Help! Please, somebody help my baby!" he choked through the large lump in his throat. A door slammed and the car shortly screeched after and pulled off. "AMELIA!" he shouted with his eyes tightly shut together. But luckily, 36 minutes after the child was rushed to the hospital, they revived her.

Amelia hasn't come back since. She left that night without a single reason as to why she did it. She hasn't called, sent a letter, or even visited. Why would she? She drowned her own daughter because she wanted to get too high to function. Harry is still legally married to her, but he's still in the process of changing that.

As Harry continued to settle Eden down, he began to sing her favorite lullaby, You Are My Sunshine. He's sang it to her ever since she was a newborn to get her to fall asleep from horrific nightmares such as this one. By the time he sang it for the seventeenth time, she had finally fallen asleep on his chest with her la-la (that's what she calls her pacifier) in her mouth and Harry thumbing over the back of her head. He figured he would just sleep there throughout the night so he wouldn't wake the baby up, but he was perfectly okay with that, for she is his world.

{ Soooo, that's the first chapter! It's kind of a base chapter so you can get familiar with the story line and what the situation is exactly. I think this is going to be a great story. :) Comment, vote, share. xoxo }
