CHAPTER - 1 : Dr. RR

June 30 , Tuesday :
Main science lab IIT Chennai, it was almost 10 at night, the street lights were blinking with dogs singing around with no one to appreciate .
"I'm the only one left here, might be the last one to leave. but have this crazy idea on mind. I restricted myself from doing it but... I had a poor control over my mind. You know that right ", said Dr.RR, sitting in his room staring at the walls.
"there is no one else, who knows about you more than I do", came a voice from the wall. So what is this about ?".
"its 'de-ferbitor ' , it is a bit complex to explain but it is an high energy machine "said Dr. RR." wait I'll show you".
It wasn't him, my eager and curiosity made me do that. I went into the lab, used a fake ID to open the doors. I could feel him following me .These are the best time in my life, I can now spend time with him simultaneously doing my research . I could have done this with my wife too. I even wouldn't have built that robot if I knew about this.
The doors opened the de-ferbitor was few meters from me, my hands were shivering. I had plugged out the CCTV camera, no one could trace me out , even if they trace escaping from them isn't a big deal for me .I had no point to be afraid ,but still was. My assistant Deepak had explained me a lot about this, I refused him, undermined him, level tapped him, even discriminated him based on his caste. Initially I didn't know why but later understood it was jealousy which made me do so. The truth is he was genius, but the only one who knew it was me, as no one else understood what he said, or what he did.
Starting the machine needed enormous amount of energy. Which no one could supply, because of which, the project was dropped. But I had the potential to generate the energy needed to run the machine.
Dr. RR was in his radiation protection suite, he opened a sealed room with radioactive caution symbol on it. He took out a green crystal piece from it.
He walked in the lab and flipped all the switches. The machine kicked into life with a humming sound. Dr.RR switched on the computer device connected to the machine, in turn starting a series of machines in the circle. The lab began to vibrate. He stepped from the circle, he hesitated to continue further.
"its all most done right", said the voice, which made RR gain his will , he inserted the crystal inside machine, believing the vibration would ease . But it was growing intensely. The amount of energy fed into the machine was massive, the lights around him flickered. He could feel the energy growing around him. The 200 km machine was visibly vibrating in front of him. At the center of the machine, there was something interesting happening. The focus of the vibrations was creating a disc in the middle of the air. The inside of the floating disc was dark, completely dark.
"wow!", said the voice . RR stepped forward again, ignoring the intense energy.
The darkness in the disc formed into an image. It was hard to see, he coughed due to the rotten smell. It was like watching an old television with poor adjustment. Something in the disc was moving, the portal opened further. He felt the machine needed more power, he dropped another small piece of the green crystal inside. The portal became more distinct. There was something on the other side. He could see people, when he increased the power he could see those people clearly. He gasped when he saw them.
"thank you very much ", said the voice .
