CHAPTER - 8 : SINDHIYA

July 10, Thursday :
Sindhiya was lying on her bed. She didn't have food, nor good sleep. Her dreams were fully haunted. She longed for a sweet, joyful and lovely life with Amar. Her sorrows would be less even when the life she imagined didn't come true, when compared to the situation in which she is stuck now. She didn't know what to do, whom to believe. But she was clear with one thing, the ball was in her court, the decision was hers to kick the ball or to puncture it. She left her house, she was surprised to see that no soul was there to stop her. She knew what she had to do; she directly went to the main science lab to meet Dr.RR, Amar's father.
The souls in charge for protecting the lab allowed her in.
"sorry " , said Dr.RR ," I thought of my sons life . I thought he would live with me. In that happiness I totally forgot about you. You must have had a hard time."
I'm not here for you grievance "said Sindhiya ," how to stop this?"
"there is no way we can stop them. He built four more machines like this if one stops and the portal closes the other will start and the portal will open within one minute and even I don't know where the other devices are. Even if we destroy this one there is no use"
"are you really ready to destroy this machine first?" questioned Sindhiya.
"I'm already dead, even if all these stop out of some miracle I will live with my son in the other dimension. And even if that don't happen I will not worry, the moment that accident occurred he was gone. But I worked and made him live with me for 6 more years, that's enough for me", said D.RR.
"then get ready uncle . Work on my command" said Sindhiya and left the lab.
She met the souls with the prisoners which took her to the secretariat. She knew what she was going to do. But her mind stepped back when she saw Amar filled with happiness in his face. But she reminded herself that this was her choice. The decision was hers. When she went near Amar, his eyes were full of emotions.
Without any delay she said what she had to," I'm sorry Amar", and filliped her finger. Fillip was her code signal Dr.RR in the lab received the signal through wireless receiver, he broke the machine, took out the radioactive crystal from the machine.
With a few seconds after she filliped the souls started disappearing. Amar held her hands. He couldn't believe any of this. But before he could react he disappeared.
She almost died hearing "I love you", which Amar whispered before he disappeared .
The souls among the public disappeared, Vetri disappeared , Dr.RR disappeared , the souls among the prisoners disappeared which frightened the other prisoners and made them stop the chaos. People around the secretariat were shocked seeing this. Maanvi, Adithya and Amar escaped. Sindhiya ran and hugged Adithya. He was filled with pride, the thing which no one could do, not a commissioner not a robot , or an U.N. agent could do was accomplished by his daughter.
"I don't know where the portal will open again." said Sindhiya ." they will come back in any minute. We still don't know how to stop them. Nor know where would they appear next."
"I know, "said Maanvi," I was sent here because they detected energy boost in this secretariat . I think their second machine in some where here. They were caught by the satellite when they tested it".
"we all are done if they appear again. Now the world knows what they are fighting against. Those souls will never spare us. We have to find a way to stop this", said Adithya.
"I know the way", said Amar looking at Sindhiya ," actually I knew it a long time, but didn't understand what it meant . The mummy said it"
"what!", screamed Adithya ," it said it won't help us".
"yeah, but it said 'you should stop it' keeping its hand on my chest. The crystal which I have is more powerful than the one in the device. If I bust this from the other dimension against the machine n the dimension. The machines will get damaged . But I have to do that for 5 long minutes. So that all other devices one after the other will get destroyed." said Amar.
"but you will die", said Sindhiya out of fear.
"that doesn't matter, I have already seen death ." said Amar.

A new portal opened in the secretariat. Vetri was the first one to come out , a battalion of soul followed him. They were full of rage. The police, security guards, Maanvi, Adithya, Amar and Sindhiya were against them. Amar's body stood in the last, guarded by others. The para-military soldiers had thermal vision glass; they held their hands with police. They knew clearly about the souls by now which made their fear out of sight.
Now the real battle began. Humans' mission was to send Amar's body to the other side of the portal. Souls which didn't knew their plan landed directly into fight without guarding portal. With few hours of fight , Amar's body got the way inside the portal. He diverted energy all over his body and ensured that he would be stable for a minute without the crystal, after which he took the crystal and fired on it continuously, the tremendous energy which expelled broke the machine. He kept the crystal back but this time the fight was different he was in hell with all the souls against him. He was ready to fight them but he knew he wouldn't succeed. He had four more devices to brake.
When Amar was standing against them all the souls aim was to remove the crystal from him. When they approached him, three souls jumped in front of him, guarding him .
"you said you won't help me", said Amar to the mummies standing in front of him.
"we said we won't fight for your world. But this is ours ", said the mummy ," this is our shit now."
They came forward and took out the crystal from Amar and held it in their hand. And suddenly an explosion took place because of the crystal, which broke all the devices against it. They through the crystal and ran away. Amar's body fell on ground. He had no energy to live. His body started decomposing, his skin dried up and started shrinking. A hand picked up the crystal from the ground and placed it in Amar's chest and closed it. His skin regained its normal form. When he opened his eyes he saw Dr.RR.
