A/N: In this oneshot, Sectonia is in her pre-mirror form!

Floralia was a wonderful place, reigned by a kind queen who loved her people: she adored spending time with them and making them happy with her peaceful and caring lead.

Y/N was a young girl who lived to serve the queen, as she was one of her closest servants together with her best friend, Taranza, a silver haired spider.
Before servants, they were those who Queen Sectonia considered her best friends.
What she didn't know, was that those two shared a sweet secret: they both had a very big crush on her. They had lived their whole lives on Floralia and they loved her jobs as much as they loved their queen . Y/N's role was that of the "royal writer": she sent letters to the inhabitants of Floralia whenever a new law was passed or a new event was happening, whilst Taranza was the guardian and caretaker of the royal greenhouse.
Thanks to her job, the girl was an excellent writer, and because of the love she held in her heart, she spent most of her time writing romantic poems she would then send her queen as a secret admirer.

On one beautiful day, in which the sun was shining through the castle windows, the lovestruck girl was writing a poem for her elegant queen, when Taranza suddenly opened the door.
Y/N quickly put her pen and paper away and opened a book while waving at her roomate: that day, he had a meeting with the queen to discuss some problems related to the castle's greenhouse, so the girl thought he wouldn't be returning until the evening
"Hey, did you just hide something?" asked the spider while getting closer to the girl, who was blushing madly.
"N-no!" she stuttered.
"You know what? I'll believe you. I'm not in the mood for arguing anyway."
Y/N understood something was clearly wrong: Taranza loved every second he spent with the queen, whether it be for his job or a nice chat, so it was pretty strange that he was so unhappy.
"Did everything go well? You seem stressed." asked the girl with concern in her eyes.
"The meeting went very well, the queen understood immediately that part of the plants should be placed outside so that they catch the sunlight directly." the spider stopped.
"...so? What went wrong?"
Taranza was obviously distraught.
"Ok, prepare yourself for this one... apparently, Sectonia has got some kind of secret admirer."
Y/N was shocked to hear that the queen had finally noticed her poems. She poured all her heart into them... but she felt bad now cause she never told her friend and she didn't have the heart to tell him that she was that secret admirer.
"I don't know what to gather from your silence. By the way, I hope that whoever it is, gets a chance with the queen. She seemed extremely happy and excited and she couldn't stop talking about all those love letters she received. I honestly love seeing her so genuinely cheerful, even if this means that my love is never going to be reciprocated. It's bittersweet."
Y/N couldn't say a word. She couldn't find a way to break the news to her best friend, so she just waited for a miracle to happen... that night, she couldn't sleep at all.

The morning later, the sun was shining and a soft breeze caressed the flowers and the faces of the inhabitants of Floralia who woke up early to work.
Taranza and Y/N were awakened by the queen herself much to their surprise.
She led them to the throne room and started speaking in her usual soft, yet excited, tone of voice.
"I think our dear Taranza already told you about my 'secret admirer', Y/N."
The girl nodded and slightly blushed in response.
"I have come to the decision that I would adore to meet this person with a heart of gold. They have truly impressed me with their sweet and excedingly amorous words."
The two servants looked at each other and nodded.
"Taranza, would you please go look for clues of who could this delighful person be? Y/N could keep me company in the meanwhile, so that I can let her listen to these superb words, too."
The spider bowed and exited the throne room in search of the queen's beloved admirer.
Y/N was almost shaking as she thought Sectonia would've gotten extremely disappointed when she would eventually learn the truth.
The queen elegantly took one of the poems she received and started reading it out loud to her servant while both blushed for very different reasons.
Y/N was both embarassed and worried while Sectonia was reading those words that, one by one, made her heart beat a little bit faster.
As the queen read more of the sweet literary compositions she received, the girl felt more heat rise to her cheeks. She could see that Sectonia absolutely adored every single word she read, but she couldn't find a way to tell her the truth!
"So, what do you think, Y/N? I honestly think the person who sent me these has a heart made of the purest gold. I wonder... maybe I know them?" asked the queen while looking directly in the girl's eyes, just like if she had the answer to that last question.
At that point, Y/N really couldn't take it anymore. She had to be brave, she had to reveal her deepest secret.
"Q-Queen Sectonia..."
"What is it, Y/N? This is the first time I've heard your voice today. Are you shaking...?"
"I... I'm ok... I have come to the conclusion that... I must tell you... that um..."

"QUEEN SECTONIA!" screamed Taranza while bursting through the door.
"Oh! What is it?" asked the queen as she jumped at the spider's sudden action.
Y/N turned her head to see her friend had her unfinished poem in one of his hands. She almost fainted...
"I um...
The person who sent you those poems clearly has an interest in romantic literature and poetry. You can see there are a lot of studies that back up their stylistic choices and wording. I also think the person who wrote the poems is someone who knows you well and has spent a lot of time with you, I think it's someone you trust deeply. I'm sure you have a connection with this person. Furthermore... I found this last piece of evidence. It's an unfinished sweet poem directed to you, and for some reason... it was in my room.
Everything I said points to one specific person...!"
The spider rose one of his hands and pointed directly at Y/N. The girl stared at him in shock and blushed heavily.
"Thank you for sharing your intuition with us, Taranza. You can now go back to your room." said the queen calmly. The spider bowed and followed his queen's order.
Sectonia turned to Y/N again and looked at her silently, waiting for the girl to say something.
The girl burst out crying.
"I'm so sorry! I should've kept it all for myself!
Sectonia! I mean every single word I wrote... But I know, in my heart, that I'm not the kind of person you expected. After all, I'm just a simple servant and I could never even dream of staying with such a beautiful and elegant queen like you are..." screamed Y/N, helpless.
Her queen smiled softly and got closer to her. She then wiped her tears away and cupped her cheeks with two of her hands.
"You might not be who I expected. But your pure heart is exactly what I was hoping for." whispered the queen before placing a gentle and warm kiss on the girl's lips.
The two melted into the kiss and thus crowned a love that doesn't see prejudice and difference of social class.

A/N: I hope that you liked this story!
We don't have much information about how pre-mirror sectonia behaved, but I assume she had a much sweeter and more caring personality.
