Going back to Naboo was a mixture of feelings, for all three of them.

They came in through the shroud of darkness, the tension hung in the air. Padme's quarters were the only safe place for the Jedi. Though no one felt safe. But they couldn't stay on the ship forever. No one slept. Obi-Wan was waiting for some kind of explosion between the couple, but none came.
Padme kept looking at Anakin as he sat there, a shell of himself, wishing she would just scream at him, conformed that he had ruined their entire relationship, burn the hope out of him. But nothing came. The hours were long and silent. Eventually, Obi-Wan decided to break the atmosphere and begin a solid plan.

The hours were long and took immense planning. Padme went out, gathering the maps and supplies they could possibly need. Anakin had offered to gather it all, but she had refused, saying it was too dangerous. It had been the first words they had spoken to each other since the incident. Anakin had tried to not think about it, but his brain couldn't help go into hyper-speed wondering what it meant.
Since they had exchanged a few words, Padme's usually with a cold matter-of-factly tone and Anakin very much shy and timid, wanting to avoid doing anything to upset her. Obi-Wan saw it as an improvement.
As the days went by Anakin had very much been going back to the man they were familiar with. His confidence had taken a blow, so retorts and comebacks were few and far between, he seemed a lot more mature to Obi-Wan. Of course, though the nights were the worst, Anakin was still haunted by his actions and often woke wanting to claw off his own skin.
He hadn't gone near a lightsaber and wouldn't even attempt to use the force. He had locked it all away. In turn, this seemed to bring him as much peace as he was going to get.

Things were coming along smoothly, they knew how they were going to get off Naboo and that the best place to go was  Tatooine, it was easy to hide away and be lost amongst the people, they would just have to be careful.
They were sat eating breakfast when the discussion came up.

"It'll be sad to see you go. Both of you" Padme said turning away from Obi-Wan to make eye contact with Anakin, who was looking at how beautiful she looked with her hair flowing down around her.

Hearing those words shook Anakin, "You're not coming with us?"

The silence felt like an eternity between the pair, Padme still didn't trust him, despite her heart telling her otherwise. She looked away from Anakin, unable to look into his eyes any longer.

"I must look after my people," She said looking at the food left on her plate.

Anakin sat in disbelief. He hadn't thought about her duties as queen. Then he began to think about never seeing his children again.

However, it was Obi-Wan that spoke next, which surprised everyone including himself.
"As sad as that would be, we must think of the children. What if one of them has the force, Palpatine will sense the child straight away, then you are vulnerable to any sort of attack"

Padme met his concerned eyes. She hadn't thought about this. Her anxiety began to rise. She tried to keep her composure as she spoke next, though her voice failed her cracking with the rising fear, "What do you suggest I do Obi-Wan, I can't leave my people without a leader. But I cannot leave my children vulnerable."

Silence filled the room once more. This time though it was deafening with the panic that was beginning to set in.

"We can delay our departure, wait for the arrival of the children, then take them with us, keep them safe until they are old enough and we can determine-"

"You will not take my children away from me Obi-Wan" Padme stood up beyond angry at the mere suggestion.

"We very well can't take you with us! Not unless you..." Obi-Wan trailed off, the thought between the boys lingering.

"Unless?" The anger subsiding very slightly.

"Unless you came with us, with everyone else under the belief their queen is dead"

Obi-Wan gave the idea with defeat, the plan wasn't good or very well thought through. It would leave them vulnerable without a point of contact in case things went wrong but assurance was more important than financial reassurance.

"Let's do it" Padme, wasn't enthused with the idea, but the bond she had with these children was more important than any title. She knew she would rather be with her children.

"Okay, this delays our plans by a few days but if we gather the right supplies, you should be able to give birth in a safe area."

"That won't be necessary Obi-Wan," Padme said through gritted teeth.

Obi-Wan turned away from the plans he had laid out on the table and looked to see Padme stood with liquid trickling onto the floor. He looked at her in shock, "My waters have broken."

Padme began to fall to the ground as a contraction washed over her. Instead of making contact with the floor though she found herself in familiar arms, she looked up to find Anakin holding her, his hands supporting her. She made no effort to push him away, the familiarity was comforting. The past slowly slipping from her mind.
Anakin's mind was spinning. He was going to become a father yet the title seemed so unworthy. He tried not to think of it. Padme might not even want him to be known as their father. Pushing the thoughts from his head, he focused on being there for her and being the husband he swore to be when he married her.

As the contractions got stronger the urge to push also came along. The med bay lights a stark washing her face, against the harsh pink in her cheeks. Anakin was there never once letting go of her hand. At some point he had begun to stroke her hair, the action was soothing, Padme was hoping he wouldn't stop, it was something she cherished from him.
Soon enough cries could be heard. Padme relaxed into the bed, exhaustion washing over her in waves. She was smiling tears in her eyes, she met Anakin who was sharing the happiness, beaming down at her.
"I'm proud of you." He went down to kiss her forehead, stopping realizing that he might not be welcome, before he could pull back though, Padme reached up and pulled him in to kiss his cheek.
The couple sat there as they were presented with their children. Obi-Wan stood outside looking in, a smile beaming across his face as he turned to face the doctors enlisted to make sure they never spoke of Padme's survival to anyone.
