Chapter 4: In the eyes of the tiger

Bai Louyin never felt this joy for the past 12 months. He and his family just celebrated his graduation a day late but still the best celebration he can even wished for. He landed a nice job offer and he will start tomorrow.

He feels refreshed after having his shower. He wrapped his body with the towel and went inside his room. As he walks inside the room, his phone also starts to ring in his bag.

Unregistered number is calling...

"Who is this?" Bai LouYin asked to himself. He hesitates to answer the call but he still answered it. "Hello!!"

"Good evening my lovely Yinzi." A cheerful deep voice of a man. "Do you miss me?"

Bai LouYin starts to feel nervous upon recognizing the voice coming from the phone. "What do you want from me? I have nothing to do with you now. I already paid what I owe you. Always put that in your mind." He almost shouts on the phone but keep his voice low so he cannot disturb his family members in the other rooms.

"I know. I know. I just want to ask you if you want to work for me since you already graduated. You can be a good asset for my business you know that. Or perhaps be my lovely boy forever." The guy from the phone replied.

Bai LouYin feels angry as the call goes on. "I will not make any business with you anymore. Please just leave me in peace." Bai LouYin dropped the call and sat in frustration on his bed.

His happy aura a while ago is now switched into a gloomy and angry one thinking on how he can get rid of that flirty and horny guy. He lies his back on the bed in a half-naked state and a towel only covering his sacred thingy. He closes his eyes with his hands both on his head exposing his armpits. Frustrated but still sexy. He fell asleep unconsciously until he heard a knocking on his door.

...knock...

...knock...

"Yinzi, I told you not to sleep with your hair still wet. Dry them up properly before going to bed." It is his father calling him from the outside.

Bai HanQi always reminding his son to dry his hair at night since he frequently sleeps with his hair still wet.

"Ok Pa. Thank you and good night." Bai LouYin answers as he starts to walk near the bedside table to plug in the hair dryer and do the task of drying his hair.

It is already six in the morning when his father wakes him up because he needs to prepare early for his work. His work starts at eight o'clock so he needs to be there at least 15 minutes ahead of time. He takes a bus going to the company. As a starter job he will be working as an assistant and may soon be the industrial engineer of the company if the fate permits. The building of the company is a 9-story building with a penthouse.

"Good morning, I'm a new employee here." Bai LouYin greets the guard. The guard then lead him to the front desk and told them he is the new employee.

"Ohh! Hi! Welcome to our company." One of the lady greets him. "Can I have your id please?"

Bai LouYin gave her his id to properly identify him. After a few checking on the computer, Bai LouYin was then sent to the HR and there he is also welcomed and sent again to his work assignment. He found out that he will be working actually as one of the company's project manager. "Are you sure this is my work assignment?" He asked.

"Yes Mr. Bai. From now on you will be working as one of the new project manager of the company. But for now since you don't have any project yet, the President actually decided for you to give an adjustment period of one month. Within a month you have to come up with a project or at least take a new project for the company. There are clients that sends their project proposals almost every week. You can study their proposals and if you can make a deal with it with a high profit rate then our president will be more glad with that. That is actually the easiest way for you to have a project since our company manufactures anything that we can sell to other companies."

Bai LouYin cannot believe how awesome his job is. "Ok I will do my best for the company and for everyone."

Just as the HR officer is about to leave his office as they gave him his own office, she turns around to add a few words. "By the way sir, your assistant will also be coming today as he is a new employee too."

"What? I have my own assistant?" He asked.

"Yes sir since you're a project manager the company gives each project manager their own assistants. There will be a meeting this afternoon at 2pm about new project proposals that are sent to us last week. You can start attending the meeting later."

He learned that the conference room is on the 8th floor just below the president's office and on top of that is his penthouse where he stays if he has works that needs an overnighter.

"Thank you." Bai LouYin gave the HR officer a light bow.

Bai LouYin cannot believe how everything is turning now. As he is floating from the feeling of excitement he never noticed a little time passes by already and heard a little knocking on glass door. He walked through the door and opened it and his smile grows bigger and wider upon seeing the guy standing in front of him.

"What the?? I cannot believe it. You're here also." Bai LouYin is mouth wide open looking at the guy.

"Yinzi!!!" The guy shouted as he jumps and hugs Bai LouYin tight. "Are you my boss?"

"What? So you're the new assistant?" Bai LouYin asked.

"Yes I am." The guy answered.

"Can you please come inside first so we can talk properly. Come here Yu Chang."

It is Yu Chang who is the new employee also and will be his assistant. Yu Chang is Bai LouYin's childhood friend who he used to play up to when they are in kindergarten until Yu Chang's family transferred to another city. There are times that they will meet each other during summer breaks and when they reached college they will find time to meet also from time to time.

As Bai LouYin closes the door, a pair of eyes is looking at them angry and with jealousy, as the owner of the eyes grit his teeth.
