The Best Is Yet To Come

Michael's POV/Narration
December 25, 1988: 5:00pm
I got up from bed and covered María up and let her sleep a little more. I closed the door very softly and walked to the music room and sat at the piano. Maria's birthday is in a few days (December 30), I want to make it special. Should I perform "Love Never Felt So Good" on her special day? I think she would love that. So I stared to practice on the piano until it was perfect.
~3 hours~ (8:00pm)
After I finished practicing the piano. I just realized we're going to be in New York on that day. Oh boy, what should I do now?! I then walked to the living room to see María reading to Alex & Michelle.
María: "Hey, where you been?", she smiled, looking up from the book.
Michael: "Oh, just..... You know, it's a surprise", I said sitting next to them.
María: "Another surprise?"
Michael: "Yes, sweetheart. This one will be very very special"
Alex: "What's with the surprises Daddy?"
Michael: "I don't want you guys to know yet", I chuckled. "Why don't you guys go see what your taking to New York tomorrow. We're leaving at 6:00am"
Alex & Michelle: "Okay Daddy", they both smiled and ran to their room.
Michael: "You excited to go to New York tomorrow?", I smiled, moving closer to María.
María: "Yeah, of course", she smiled.
Michael: "Don't think I forgot about your birthday or our anniversary. And I have a surprise that will surely blow your mind", I smiled.
María: "Really? Well, I can't wait", she smiled.
Michael: "We will all have a great time. Just you wait cause the best is yet to come", I smiled and kissed her on the cheek.
