Please Come Back (Part 2: Should I Forgive Him?)

María's POV/Narration
December 30, 1988: 7:30am
Alexander: "So, you & Michael had an argument, eh?", he said handing me a cup of coffee and sat down across from me at the table.
María: "Thank you & yeah"
Alexander: "About what?", he said taking a sip of coffee. "Oh yeah & happy birthday"
María: "He thought I was cheating on him with Armando..... And thanks"
Alexander: "Well, has he called you? Michael, I mean"
María: "Um... I don't----", I said as I checked my phone. Then I saw 50 missed calls from Michael. "Yeah, he's called me.......50 times"
Alexander: "Wow. Why haven't you called him back?"
María: "I don't want to talk to him right now", I said taking a sip of coffee.
Alexander: "He probably called to apologize. And what about Alex & Michelle? Don't you at least miss them?"
María: "Well, yeah of course I miss them. I miss them very much but I don't want them to see Michael & I arguing all the time"
Alexander: "You know, if it happens once it won't happen again. But that's if you guys love each other very very much. Your relationship doesn't have to be perfect, you'll all have your bad days and your good days. Take me and Ale for a example, when we were married, we argued all the time. But after Junior was born, well we still argued. And we argued a lot so we just divorced. The last argument was exactly like the one you and Michael had a few days ago. But we had a whole lot of arguments in the past so Ale and I decided this wasn't good for Alexis so we just went our separate ways"
María: "But didn't Alejandra have custody of Junior before?"
Alexander: "Well yeah but now I do"
María: "Oh. Well, that's good..... I guess"
Alexander: "So, are you going to forgive Michael?"
María: "Well, I don't know... I don't want to forgive him, just to give him some space...."
Alexander: "Well, you know what? Let me get right to the point, just do what your heart tells you"
María: "Yeah, I guess you're right", I smiled then my phone rang. It was Riley. "Hello"
Riley: "María! Where are you?!"
María: "Um.... At Alex's house. Why? Did Michael call you & ask about me?"
Riley: "Whaaaaaaat? Now way! Can't a friend get excited about hearing her friends voice?"
María: "Riley"
Riley: "Alright fine. Michael called me and asked where you were. He really really misses you. Hey, you want to go to the mall? Yes! Ok, pick you up in a few. Bring all your stuff. Bye!!!"
María: "Ri---", I started to say but she hung up. "Well then...."
Alexander: "What happen?"
María: "Well, she said Michael called her and asked if she'd seen me. And that he misses me. And apparently, Riley is taking me to the mall"
Alexander: "You see, a reason why you should forgive Michael & Oh, que maravilla", he said sarcastically and with a smirk.
María: "Chistoso", I laughed,
Alexander: "Haha, you sound just like Dad", he chuckled. "Well, I got to get Junior. He's at his Mom's house", he said getting up.
María: "Yeah, I better be going too. You know how Riley is. Hates to wait", I said getting up. I grabbed my stuff and walked to the door.
Alexander: "After you", he said opening the door for me.
María: "Thanks"
As we got to the front of the house, Riley was already there. Alex took my bag and put it in the trunk and Riley told me to get in. Then as I got in, I saw Riley talking to Alex about something.

Alexander's POV/Narration
December 30, 1988: 8:00am
Riley: "Hey Alex, I got a message for you from Michael", she whispered to me.
Alexander: "What is it?"
Riley: "Come to the Staples Center at around 7:00pm. Or you could go there earlier if you want to help out. I didn't want to say this in front of María cause it's surprise for her on her birthday"
Alexander: "Well, I guess he really hates himself for accusing her of cheating/lying. But sure, I'll go help out"
Riley: "Thanks Alex. And talk to Michael, he seems so blue now. Try to cheer him up"
Alexander: "Alright, I will", I smiled.
Riley: "Ok, see ya later Alex", she said and got in. They drove off and waved goodbye. I got on my car and went to pick up Junior.
