The Best Day Ever Turned Into The Most Terrible Day

Michael's POV/Narration
December 25, 1988: 8:15pm
I walked to the kitchen to where María was. She was talking on the phone with someone. I stayed behind the door and listened. Yes... I know I'm ease dropping but it's for a good cause.
María: (on the phone) "No, no Armando listen..."
She's taking to Armando?! What?! She's cheating on me?!
María: "Why are you telling me this? I'm not getting back with you!", she said and hung up.
Michael: "Are you cheating on me?!", I said coming in the kitchen.
María: "Were you listening to my conversation?", she said crossing her arms.
Michael: "I'm not answering that question until you answer mine! Are you cheating on me?"
María: "No. I am not"
Michael: "Then what is it? That your secretly seeing Armando behind my back?!"
María: "Michael..... I am not seeing Armando! He called me! I never called him!"
Michael: "Well, I don't believe that. Are you lying to me? I think you're lying to me", I said crossing my arms.
María: "Oh, so now your calling me a liar?! You--you know what I don't need this!", she said walking to our room.
Michael: "Hey! Don't you walk away from me!", I said going after her and slamming the bedroom door.
María: "Michael. I don't need to be insulted by you. I've already been beaten & insulated once by Armando"
Michael: "Then why are you seeing him again?!"
María: "I am not seeing him! Oh my gosh, I think it was a mistake to marry you"
Michael: "Well, if you feel that way then why don't we divorce?!"
María: "Fine!", she said and going into the closet and getting her stuff. As she gotten all packed, she walked out the door. Oh no! What have I done?! I just made the love of my life leave my life.
Alex: "Daddy?", he said walking towards me.
Michael: "Yes Alex", I said crouching to him.
Alex: "What's was all the yelling? And where's Mommy?"
Michael: "Alex", I sighed. "Mommy and I were having a little argument and... And she left"
Alex: "Where did she go? Is she coming back?", he said his voice braking.
Michael: "Oh Alex", I said hugging him. "I'll make sure Mommy comes back"
Alex: "Promise?", he said through tears.
Michael: "I'll try my best"
