To Realize

Do you remember the times that you were happy?
Even though life is crappy,
Still, there are things that make you smile,
Even just for a while.

Do you remember the flower you used to pick?
The time when you used to play with sticks?
And back when you were six?
The lump of dried leaves you used to kick?
The nectar from the flower that you used to lick?
The time when you used to watch the sunset?
Even though your mom is already upset.

Those were great memories,
They became part of our history.
But history doesn't really repeat itself,
And so as nature itself.

Do you remember the time when you hated all vegetable?
Even though it's the only food on the table?
The herbs and plants that you cooked in pretend?
I really wish it would've never ended.

Do you remember how they cured you when you were sick?
And made themselves as your medic?
This may be sarcastic,
But the world itself is now also sick.
But a doctor itself can't cure itself,
Neither the patient itself.

Appreciating natures beauty may be corny,
But it is necessary.
There are things that make me worry;
Like how people can ignore this unearthly imagery?
All this heart-melting scenery,
I may already die after seeing its beauty.
But on the contrary,
It is the one who is dying slowly,
Decaying as if it's full of flea.

Do you remember the ants you used to kill?
Not aware of what they would feel?
The bugs and insects you used to hurt?
Without knowing their importance on earth?
The dog that you used to play with?
Or the cat you used to cuddle with?
How I wish they can live as long as we did.
How I wish our earth to last forever.
Just like how we love our mother,
There is also our mother, Earth.
That lets herself suffer,
So that we could all live in peace,
Even though she is being torn piece by piece.
