Let's talk.

Kokichi POV

After the movie, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked behind me, and saw Kaede.

"Kokichi, we need to talk." she said.

I look at her. What does this piano nerd* wanna talk about?

I shrugged, and followed her into an empty room.

Third Person

"Nishishi, so Kayayday, what did you want to talk about?" Kokichi said with a grin.

Kaede sighed and looked at Kokichi.

"Kokichi.. why are you trying to keep me away from Shuichi?" she asked.

"Huh..? Keep you away from him?"

"Kokichi.. you're literally pushing me away from him and sitting between us. It's clear you don't want me around him."

Kokichi blinked a few times then started talking some more.

"I mean, It's quite entertaining to get in the middle of peoples friendships-" he said.

"Kokichi. Stop. I need you to be honest with me.." Kaede interrupted. "Kokichi. Why are you keeping me away from him. Answer truthfully."

Kokichi's grin turned into a straight face. He stayed in silence, as if he didn't know how to respond.

"Kokichi..?"

"I don't know. I just.. have this strange feeling around him.." he said.

"Kokichi.. do you like-" she asked.

"But that's just a lie of course!" Kokichi's straight face turned into a grin.

"Didn't I just say to answer truthfully?" Kaede sighed. "I guess it really is hard to get you to tell the truth.."

Kokichi was about to head for the door, when Kaede said, "Kokichi. If you have feelings for him, I'll leave him alone."

Kokichi looked at her. "Hm?"

Kaede sighed and said, "Kokichi.. I know you have feelings for him. And so do I. But it seems that your feelings for him are stronger. Sure, your annoying, a brat, and a liar, but I can't take away your chances of being with him."

Kokichi blinked twice before responding. "Alright. Kaede, you figured it out, I like Shuichi."

"Even if you get with him, sure I'll be heartbroken, but there's plenty of fish in the sea.. right?" She scratched her head.

Kokichi's fake crocodile tears came dripping down his face. "Wow Kaede! You're a nice person after all! I'm crying tears of joy!"

Kaede looked at him, then brought out her hand.

"Friends?" she asked.

Kokichi took out his hand, then shook hers. Without saying a word.

Kokichi and Kaede then left the room.

"What the hell were you guys doing in there?" asked Miu. "Were you perhaps-"

"Miu.. we were just talking." said Kaede.

Kokichi took a glance at Kaede talking to Miu, then spotted Shuichi.

"Hey Shuichiii!" he said.

"Oh hey Kokichi.." responded Shuichi.

"Whatcha doing?"

"Use your eyes to see what I'm doing."

"Aww why are you being so grumpy?"

"What? Did that come out as grumpy?" he asked.

"Mhm! Yes it did!" responded Kokichi.

"Oh I'm sor-"

"I'll only forgive you if you go on all fours and beg for forgiveness!"

"I'm not doing that." said Shuichi, returning to whatever nonsense he was doing.

"Whaat? Then I don't forgive you!" Kokichi started fake crying.

"Fine by me."

"Sorry, I was lying I forgive you."
