💫Ochako Uraraka's pov 💫
I couldnt help but feel a little bitter the next morning and purposely dodge Katsukis request to have brunch together. I wasnt sure if I was genuinely mad at him or just wanted him to think I was but I spent the morning pampering myself with a long scented bath, shaving my legs, doing a face mask and painting my nails and toe nails. I used a cute mint green on my toes and a light pink on my hands.
When I was done with that I picked out an outfit for dinner tonight and decided on a pair of black leggings, a grey sweater, a jean jacket and my ugg boots. Then I straightened my hair before pulling it back into a messy bun with my bangs hanging out. I finished off the look with a simple makeup look and was very pleased with the results. I looked casual, like I didnt just spend hours getting myself to look this way but I also looked good.
I snapped a picture and sent it to Mina who responded with a string of explicit emojis that had me laughing and assuming she liked the look. I still had about an hour to kill till Katsuki and I had to leave to go to his parents house and I felt my stomach growl. I hadn't eaten yet today and I was so hungry. I should probably have a little snack I tell myself as I walk down the stairs to the kitchen.
I started looking through the cupboards and found a small bag of chips and shrugged, deciding this was good enough. I sat down in the living room and scrolled through my phone as I ate, the hour I had going by surprisingly fast. I got a text notification from Katsuki.
Blasty💣: you ready to go?
Floaty💕: yup, I'm downstairs in the common room.
Blasty💣: I'll be down in a min.
I put my phone in my jacket pocket and stood up, looking towards the stairs just as Katsuki was coming down. "Hey." I say, trying to act like I totally hadn't been avoiding him all day. "Hey. You look nice. Let's go." I nod and follow him out the door, smiling a little.
We decided to just walk cause although it was cold it was far enough that we needed to take a bus. It was silent as we walked and I couldnt tell if it was awkward or not so I just looked down at my feet. Katsuki opened his mouth a few times, looking like he was going to say something and reconsidered last second and closed his mouth.
When we got to the house he didn't bother knocking and just walked in, wiping his feet on the door mat before continuing. "We're here!" He yells into the otherwise quiet house. I could hear footsteps coming closer as I wiped my feet off and closed the front door behind us. I turned and saw Mitsuki, smiling at me like she might cry. "Ochako!" She hugged me tightly, brushing past her son. "Hello Mitsuki." I hugged her back and tried to avoid Katsukis gaze as he watched us.
"How have you been dear?" She asks when she finally pulled back. "I'm good, just been hanging out with Katsuki a lot." I say, gesturing towards him, as if reminding her that her own son was standing a little behind her. She smiles at him and pats his shoulder lightly on her way back into the kitchen. "Dinner will be done soon!"
I cautiously take my hand to Katsuki's arm, trailing it down to his own hand and holding it softly. He squeezed my hand a little and let out a deep breath. I leaned into his side to let him know I was here and I understood and I felt him relax a little. We walk towards the dining room together and sit down on one side of the table waiting for dinner to start. I still had ahold of his hand under the table and I hoped for his sake his mother didnt notice.
Thankfully she seemed pretty caught up with putting food on the table, denying my offer to help her. Soon Katsuki's father Masaru joined us and smiled at us. "Hey Katsuki, Ochako."
