Diana

"Failure".

"Who's there".

"Failure"

"What do you want!"

"Failure".

"Who are you?!"

"You are a disgrace to this family"

"D- Dad?"

"This is your punishment".

There infront of me I see my dad holding my beloved dog in his left hand knife on the right. Slowly putting the knife closer to the dogs neck. My dog whipering in fear.

"Please don't! Please! Anything else but him please!".

" I kept telling you to do as I say but you just disobey me. So this is a warning to never disobey me again!"

"No!"

"Diana! Diana! Wake up your having a nightmare!"

Opening my eyes in horror I see my mom beside me comforting me trying to calm me.

"M-mom I...I".

"It's ok, It's ok everything is fine diana it was a long time ago just breathe".

I try breathing to calm myself. But the picture of my dog throat being slit open kept on spinning in my head, Making me feel like I could have done something to stop it from happening.

"Diana I'll stay here as long as you need to calm down. But You need some rest for tomorrow's test ok?"

I nodded slightly at my mom's comment. Slowing drifting of to sleep, My head falling back on the pillow. My mom slowly stroking her hand threw my hair. Calming down I soon fasted asleep slowly forgetting the horrid nightmare.
