The reunion
Zoe's POV
Ilang minuto akong nag-antay, tulala habang nag hihintay sakanila, and they finally arrived! Inayos ko muna ang sarili ko, lalo na't meron si Ali.
Yuri, yes Yuri! Dami kong ibabahagi sakanya, katulad kanina. Kuya, kuya Zack! I wanted to hug him for an hour, I missed him so so much!
May tumawag sa aking telepono at dali-dali ko itong sinagot.
"Yes?" tanong habang may mga ngiti sa aking labi.
"Ma'am, Dr. Arwin called you po. They arrived, they need to meet VP" agad-agad akong nag ayos. I really need to look good.
"Coming, thank you" binaba ko na ang telepono at dali-daling pumunta sa baba.
When I'm in downstairs, I saw all of them, except for Ali. I wonder if ma kakarating ba talaga siya, I saw the smile on their faces, my kuya, Yuri, dad, even the doctor that I met kaninang umaga.
Tumakbo ako papunta sakanila, niyakap ko ng mahigpit ang nag iisang babae, napaka patay gutom kong kaibigan, si Yuri.
Walang bitaw ko siyang niyayakap, I need this moment, ilang taon na kami hindi nagkikita, nagyayakapan.
"Yuri! I missed you so much!!" yakap yakap ko siya, I really miss this girl.
"Z-Zoe, hindi na ako makahinga, sobrang higpit na ng yakap mo. Chill, ako lang 'to" right. Binitawan ko na ang aking yakap sakanya.
"Para naman akong napatay tapos nabuhay ulit, higpit ng yakap mo! I missed you too! May chika ka? About you know, boys? Haha". Yuri didn't change, yun parin! Puro lalake nasa isip.
"Well, about that, I have so many to share with you! Especially yung kanina, I met a doctor that annoyed me! Pero, meron siyang magandang... Basta! Let's talk about it later!". Excited to talk to this girl!
"Sounds exciting!" exactly.
"Siya nga pala, where is? Ali? Bakit hindi niyo siya kasama? Akala ko ba sabay sabay kayong dadating?" Ali didn't arrive yet. Di na siya makakarating?
"I don't know, he chatted me. He's on his way, don't be too excited!"
Niyakap ko muli siya ulit. Then I started to front my brother, kuya Zack.
"Kuya" I hugged him. His hug made me feel like I'm in the clouds, habang nakapikit ay yakap-yakap ko ang nag-iisang kuya ko na matagal ko na ding hindi nakasama.
"Zoe, baka makatulog ka! Miss na miss na kitang bata ka!" why does everyone doing it accurate? Do I look like a child? A old woman that is married with someone?
"Kuya, I am not a kid anymore! You spoiled me with your hugs kasi eh!" inis na may dalang ngiti sa mukha ko.
"So, ano na? Meron na bang nangligaw sayo? Anh boyfriends? Hmm?". Seriously? What kind of question is that. Hindi nga ako pinapayagang gagala kasama ang isang lalake except for Ali eh, boyfriend pa kaya?
"You know what kuya, I'm VP! And I don't want to be in a relationship, okay? Like, not now. It doesn't mean na I'm forcing myself ah, pero I don't want bf yet". Very well said Zoe. I'm not ready entering in a relationship with someone, no. Not now, I have so many things to do.
"That's what I like about you, keep shining! Congrats sis, we are very proud of you!" my heart melts.
"Glad that you came in time" pinabayaan ko muna silang mag yakapan sa isa't isa ni Tita Whitney. I'm still looking for Ali, he is not here yet. We are about to go.
"Looking for something?" duh. He is here again and again. Bakit everytime, every hour I move andito siya? Is he spying on me?
"It's someone, and what are you doing here? I didn't invited you to come, you may go, your job for today is done. Go home doctor". He started laughing again.
"Ms. Zoe, a doctor cannot deny its patient. We are used to help them, tapos papa uwiin mo ako? Zoe, I like the way you handle your job. Keep going" he winked after! What kind of doctor is he? I can feel his moves, the moves that he's showing me.
"Well, doctor. I'm VP, I'll do the commands. I understand your opinion, but please. Umalis ka sa daanan ko. I'm looking for–"
"For me?"
Someone just came out and speak from nowhere. I turned around and... It was Ali! He got matured! His glasses, his teeth, his hair. Everything changed, halos hindi ko na siya makilala sa bago niyang style ngayon. I can't believe it, my bestfriend, look so good at his style.
"A-Ali?"
"Mhm. Sorry, I'm late for a minute. Am I still invited?" yes, it's him.
"Ms. Zoe, who's this?" agad naman siyang umepal. Ano bang pake niya?
"Dr. Collins, after I'll introduce this guy. Pwede kana bang umalis?" tumango naman siya.
"Dr. Drake Xian Collins, he is my childhood bestfriend, Chief Ali Davies Talor". Tumaas naman ang kilay nitong doctor na'to, and they're having their shakehands, they both smiled at each other which is kinda good.
Drake gave us a time to talk, well he don't have to. I'm VP, I can do everything except for anything that harmed this hospital.
"Anyways, you got promoted, congrats! Long time no see Zoe. Tumatagal, gumaganda ka" namula ang mukha ko sa sinabi niya.
"By the why? Who's that doctor with hazel eyes? Is he your first boyfriend?" I started laughing. Boyfriend? Is he joking?
"W-what are you talking about? He annoyed me everytime Ali, it will never happen. Nag glow up ka ah? Daming nag bago sayo. Halos hindi na kita makilala!"
"Huh? I knew you'll love it" I hugged him and he hugged me back. His hug though, makes me asleep.
"We need to go, dad need us" at sumakay na kami sa van which is, hindi kami makakasya kung isa lang, ang dami namin, but not all workers in the hospital ay sumama, may naiwan din. So dad needs to separate us.
"Sorry everyone, the van can only take 8 people, I need to separate you guys" I hate it.
"So dad? I want here, together with Yuri, kuya, and Ali" at muling umepal itong doctor na'to.
"Dr. Arwin, I'll sit beside Zoe, just to make sure that she's going to be safe in other workers" really? Hindi na siya nakakatuwa, like is doing this para ma promote naman siya ni dad?
"No, Tito Arwin, I'll sit beside Zoe, she wanted me to sit beside her and Yuri. Right Zoe?" tumango naman ako.
"Sus, you can sit beside Zoe guys, no worries about me. Malikot ako katabi, Zoe girl I'm sorry but I–" may isa namang lalaking sumulpot at sumagot.
"Dr. Liano, with these girls. We need to take care with them, I'll sit beside the girl at the middle" did he mean, Yuri? Aba!
"Wait, what? Sir, who are you? Sino ka para tabihan si Yuri?" he's weird.
"Oh, nakalimutan niyo na ata pangalan ko. By the way, I'm Dr. Williams Khan Smith. Kababata ko po si Dr. Collins"
He is? Kababata ni Drake? They act like the same! Hilig nilang paikutin ang mga babae!
"Zoe, hayaan mo na siya. Can't you tell these guys wanted to protect us? By the way Dr. Smith, I am Yuri Faith Liano" para naman tong tanga si Yuri. I don't know these doctors this much!
"Where can I sit?" tanong ni kuya Zack. Right, saan nga ba?
"In here, a vacant seat Mr." and the girl who answered is Dr. Lani!
"Oh, sure, thanks" sagot niya dito.
"Alright guys, we have 2 vans. Pupunta tayo sa isang lugar na kung saan doon tayo makakapag celebrate, okay? Seatbelt on?"
Chineck ko silang lahat, and they are in their seatbelt, it's for our own safety na din.
"All checked dad, we can go" and we're on our way to that place.
