When Carl was stable, I visited him for a short while before going out with Daryl to scout for Sophia as per Dale's request. Pride entered my body as I realised Dale held trust for me. A smidgen of relief entered my body as I knew that the one kid was at least okay for now. Shane insisted that I not go, but I just smiled at him pointing at my swords and telling him that I can handle myself. I found it gruelling that I had to answer to Shane now that he officially marked his territory. He told me that as soon as I got back I was to find him first. He reminded me of my husband and that was a worrisome thing. There should only be one of him in the world.
Lori couldn't thank me enough though, it got so bad that I started avoiding her. Andrea was the only woman friend here and she told me that she thought the thing Shane had for me was hot. That's why I went out with Daryl. I couldn't stand the thought of that man! What was wrong with this group?!
"Overbearing boyfriend much?" He told me after Shane did a whole formal debriefing and I was "allowed" to go.
"He's not my boyfriend." I snapped at him, one sword out for all intensive purposes. "He kissed me once and now he has stamped me as claimed. He forgets that I have a husband that may as well be alive and surviving!" I angrily slammed my foot against a rock, making it bounce a few meters away.
"He's looking out for you in his own way." Daryl said, watching the ground for tracks.
"I can do that just fine on my own!" I smiled coyly at said tracker, walking out and checking for safety.
We tried this for a while before Daryl decided to head back. I was checking my sword with my fingers, picking off Walker flesh on our way out of the clearing towards the farm. He had picked out some flowers for Carol which I thought was quite sweet of him.
"That's sorta dangerous." Rick's voice told me.
I jumped and swung around removing my fingers from the blade, aiming it at the speaker. Rick was standing next to Shane, leaning against a tree.
"No, I disagree. That was dangerous. Don't scare a lady with a blade, you might just land up dead." Rick smirked and walked towards the house again looking pale.
"I thought I told you to come see me first." Shane joked.
"I just got back." I sneered at the tall hog, walking to my motorcycle next to my small tent and chucking my supplies bag into the grey makeshift room Carol had insisted on me having.
"Claws away kitten." He told me, taking my sword out of my hand and unlatching the sheaths from my back for me.
"Do I look disabled to you Shane?" I asked him quietly.
"Can a man not do some things for his woman?" Shane smirked at me.
His woman? Now hold on a minute!
"You're brave. I'm not your woman!" I whirled in his direction threateningly, fisting my hands.
I stepped back, crossing my arms. He had balls, I'd give it to him. However I had to go and check on Carl so I turned around and walked to the house. Carl seemed alright and in recovery. Hershel told us there was water in the well on the west side that we could use.
But the well had a swollen Walker in it. I shivered in disgust.
Glenn and Maggie went on a run for supplies so I helped the rest of the group.
We tried sending Glenn down in there when he got back but he almost got chomped. I almost yakked out my food when I saw the swollen and pale Walker swimming around in the water. It made my gag reflex soar as I looked into the well. Carol pat my back as I had a little moment to keep my food in.
