It was a fresh day in the prison, and my body felt rejuvenated. I was no more grieving for the losses this group had suffered. Maybe the doctors we're right about babies being an indirect therapeutic device.

Good news was that Carol was indeed alive! Daryl found her hiding inside of a room in the other wing. I was grateful for that discovery. I walked around the fences monitoring Rick, with a new sense of purpose to my life deciding that I couldn't live my life in this new world always mourning the dead. It was kill or be killed and people were changing because of it. Glenn and Maggie had gone out early in the morning to fetch more baby formula for the baby girl.

I climbed the stairs up to the one tower just watching for Glenn and Maggie's car, I had put my swords under my bed, tucked away hopefully I wouldn't have to use them anymore. I had a shotgun with me but as I said, I was a fair shot and not a very good one.

The Walkers were easy to spot, they walked slouched, rarely ever ran. They didn't have ability to hold things either, maybe grab and have a lock on the person, but never hold. I squinted my eyes at the newcomer, hoping to see it better. When I noticed the familiar figure, I flew down the stairs and next to Rick's also curious figure.

"I think I know her Rick." I swiftly whispered towards my right hand man.

He looked towards me curiously. When she reached the gate, we were able to see the person clearly. I sucked in a sharp breath. I would recognise those dreadlocks and swords anywhere. Michonne! Walkers started noticing her as the guts smeared all over her wasn't enough to protect her. I started formulating a lame plan to get her inside.

"Let her in Rick!" I hissed at him after she recognised me.

I ran for the gate, Rick frantically running after me in a panic to protect me. Rick wasn't moved at the fact that I knew her. He chopped down a walker with his gun and proceeded to restrain her. Daryl had been nearby when this happened so when Rick apprehended her he was standing right next to me.

"You knew her?" He asked me.

"Her name is Michonne, she's harmless if she doesn't sense bad motives. Please give her a chance." I begged him.

She was the only person I knew that survived and I couldn't let them kill her. Something was driving me to save her.

"We have to make sure. It's our new system Leah." Daryl mumbled walking into our new interrogation cell and slamming the gate shut.

I stood by the gate, with my hands fastened on the bars. Michonne kept glancing at me, I mouthed that it would be okay and that she just needed to co-operate.

Rick used one of his intimidation techniques and Michonne gave him stick for it, Daryl threatened her. I was itching to grab for the swords that weren't on my back to defend Michonne so I decided to compare my swords to hers. It was pathetic however distracting it became. Mine were grey with cross patterns on it as well, but white string material, compared to her stolen white and black one. I wonder where the other twin was.

Eventually Michonne told us about Glenn and Maggie being captured by Merle and taken to a place called Woodbury. I immediately awakened at that name. Daryl shot a look at me.

When the interrogation was over, I went to go find the baby girl, who was with Beth. She knew about my promise to Lori and immediately gave me the little girl. I played peekaboo with the baby girl, who giggled maniacally at my silliness. Rick had decided to leave Michonne in interrogations for a little while so that Hershel could attend to her. I then played round the garden with the baby.

"Round and round the garden, like a teddy bear.." I sang to her circling my pointer finger around her palm," one step, two steps," I climbed up her arm with my pointer and middle finger," tickle you everywhere." I tickled her.
