The Lake

The sun rose into the sky signalling the start of another day. People were getting up and beginning to get ready for the day ahead. Some where getting ready for the quidditch match, some to study and do homework, some to go to Hogsmeade and some to just see their friends. In the boy's dormitories, there were two boys. One was awake and waiting for his friend to wake up, the other was asleep unbeknownst that his peaceful slumber would not last long. The boy who was wide awake was wearing a jumper and a pair of jeans, accompanied by a pair of trainers. His hair was a mess, but then again it always was. He took after his father with that. The boy was getting tired of waiting and do decided to start shaking the sleeping boy.
"Scorpius get up!" Albus said.
"Just five more minutes," the sleepy student mumbled into his pillow, still half asleep. Albus has another idea.
"Fine, I'll just go and tell Y/N that you said her name in your sleep and I'll tell Rose that you like her," the brunette blackmailed. Scorpius shot out of bed.
"I'm awake!" he called. His eyes began to wonder around the room, he noticed how everyone's beds were empty. This confused Scorpius as he had no idea where anyone was. "Where is everyone?"
"There's a quiditch match on. It's Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw."
Scorpius nodded his head in recognition. He decided it would be a good idea to get changed. He opted for a jumper and jeans as well, also paired with a pair of trainers. It was starting to get cold so they both picked up their jackets before leaving from their dormitory to the common room. They were going to go out, they were just deciding where to go.
"What about the black lake?" Scorpius asked looking in Albus' direction. As Albus knew Scorpius was looking at him he didn't verbally answer so he nodded his head in agreement. Due to not looking where he was going, Scorpius walked directly into Y/N as she was leaving her dormitoy at this exact moment. The collision caused them both to fall and land on the floor. Scorpius on top of Y/N. Scorpius, being the gentleman he was taught to be, immediately apologized for his actions. "I'm so sorry"
"It's fine, it was an accident," the beautiful girl responded.
The blonde held out his hand to hep her up, "thanks"
"No problem," the boy blushed
Albus decided to join in the conversation, he asked Y/N if she would like to join them in going to the lake. She gladly accepted. They began their walk through the halls not talking. The silence was a comfortable silence. Albus decided to break the silence.
"It's so quiet," he said pointing out the obvious. Scorpius then decided to also point obvious mentioning that people where either at a quidditch match, revising or at hogsmeade.
"I don't understand why people go to the quidditch matches, nothing interesting ever happens," Y/N mentioned.
"That is why we hardly ever go to a match. Right Scorpius?"
"Right, I thought you normally went to matches though Y/N"
"Only when Slytherin plays. Otherwise what is the point?"
"That is very true." Albus answered.
"Do you not like quidditch?" The girl inquired.
"We do it's just we get bored" Scorpius replied.
"But weren't your dad's both amazing seekers" the girl kept asking.
"I suppose" Albus replied.
"You are both less like them than I thought."
They had been talking for what felt like such a long time that they didn't even realise that they had reached the lake. Scorpius asked of they could talk about something else as the topic of quidditch had gotten rather boring and tiresome. Albus said that they could talk about things they like so that they could get to know each other better, by that he meant get to know Y/N better but he wasn't about to admit it. It is not like they didn't know each other but the main reason they talked was educational purposes or when they were discussing things that were being gossiped aroung the Hogwarts halls. Scorpius then said that Albus could go first due to it being his idea.
"Fine then, I enjoy going swimming and caring for magical creatures, you next Scorp,"
"I like going on walks, reading books, making and experimenting with potions and photography. What about you Y/N?"
"Well, (fill in 5 or more things that you enjoy - comment them and let me know!)" once the girl had finished answering, the boys looked at each other astounded, she noticed this and asked what the look was for. They said that it was because of how much she said.
"What shall we find out next?" the blonde boy asked, Albus decided that he should be annoying, so, he suggested crushes. They were all friends they just didn't normally discuss their personal lives as they were all rather closed off. When they each arrived to Hogwarts they hadn't met anyone and they had already been judged the moment the sorting hat shouted "SLYTHERIN!" infront of all the students. They basically all became friends through being outcasts. The year they joined there was barely anyone put in Slytherin making joining Hogwarts that little bit harder.
Y/N and Scorpius reluctantly agreed to Albus' idea. The cunning blonde then thought of a way to get his friend back.
"Let's do it like a guessing game. We each ask questions and we can only answer yes or no. So we will start with Albus, then we will guess mine, and then Y/N's" the cunning boy said, the brunette nodded his head in agreement. "Are they in our year?"
"Yes"
"Are they a Gryffindor?" the girl asked.
"No"
"Hufflepuff?"
"No"
"Slytherin?"
"Yes"
"A friend of Y/N's?"
"Not sure"
"Gemma?"
"Yeah, your turn Scorp"
"Slytherin?" Albus inquired
"Yes"
"Me" the girl said. She was hoping that he would say yes, she liked him but she also liked Albus but hearing that he liked one of her friends made her think that Scorpius was the better option to go for as she would actually have a chance. However she also realised that she was slightly disappointed as she had liked Albus first, and she quite clearly like him more. She couldn't count the amount of nights she had layed awake thinking of her and Albus in a relationship together, cuddling an ddoing coupley things.
"Yes" He replied blushing madly, which showed so easily on his perfect pale skin. "Your turn Y/N"
"I know they are in Slytherin so are they in our year?"
"Yes"
"Brown hair"
"Yeah" when Y/N says this Scorpius looks upset.
"Brown eyes"
"No"
"Green eyes?"
"Yes"
"Is their height average, short or tall?"
"Average"
"Harry?"
"No"
"Albus"
"Yeah" Y/N looks down and blushes madly. She knows it was wrong to only say the one person, to upset Scorpius when she liked his as well.

Author's note:
Well, it has once again taken me ages to edit. No suprise there.
I know it is kinda weird to be re-writing the story at the end of the book but I will eventually move all this to the front of the book.
