Casey walked into school the next day and immediately heads were turned. Her hair was out and wavy, leading to whispers surrounding her, she didn't have on her necklace, and instead of Bucky's varsity jacket or even her own it was a purple jean jacket and a white hoodie. The only thing seemingly recognizable about her was her cheer uniform and light blue high-tops. "Hey Eliza," she said, hopping up behind the girl. Eliza smiled to herself and closed her locker, "I brought you another lunch."

Eliza took the packaged lunch which looked to be in a bento box of some kind, "Oh Thanks." She stuffed it away in her bag and exhaustedly leaned back against her locker, "I'm glad I got you out of there when I did last night."

She tilted her head to the side and leaned next to her against the lockers, "Why?"

"Z-patrol got us. We were out past curfew."

"You guys have a curfew?" She nodded, "That's horrible."

She shrugged, "That's life, for us anyway."

"Alright mighty shrimp tomorrows the day we've all been waiting for," Zed was at his locker hissing while grabbing his arm, "it's the homecoming game."

Eliza and Casey both noticed and walked over to him. "Look I'm all for trampling the system and the opposing team, but you've really gotta stop messing with your z band, okay?" Eliza told him with concern written all over her face. "It's not safe."

Casey nodded, "and I know I agreed at first, but now it's starting to hurt you. It's not about winning anymore, you're in pain. The thing that's supposed to help you is causing you physical harm."

"It's just one more game to get though,"

"And then no more hacking your Z band?" Eliza asked tentatively.

He nodded, "Yeah totally."

She reluctantly agreed, "Okay." Neither looked particularly happy about it.

Eliza and Casey walked to class together, "Liza, you wanna swing by today? My parents are gonna be gone for another week, we could watch movies or something," she clasped her hands behind her back and swung on her heels.

Eliza's eyes lit up at the prospect, but she quickly deflated, "what about the Z-patrol? if we get caught, I'm so dead."

Casey grinned and plucked at her sweatshirt with two fingers, "you can wear my hoodie."

The zombie girl sighed with a soft smile on her face, it was a flimsy plan at best, but she would risk anything to hang out with Eliza, "Okay. I'd love to come over."

"A spa day all of us," Tracy and Lacey announced to Eliza and Casey. The two were doing homework together in the quad in between class, "hanging," the boy forced out.

"We've been so wrong about Zombies this whole time."

"Yeah, I mean with some concealer, blush, contour, highlight and a little bit of hair dye, you could look cute," Tracy said making Casey glare at him Eliza was gorgeous, she was perfect they had no right to disrespect her.

"And I mean, when was the last time you pampered yourself?"

Casey discretely took Eliza's hand in hers, "Yeah, giggling over make-up and doing each other's toenails? No sale," Eliza told them.

"Uh, you like computers, right? My mom just set up a full VR room. Casey, it could be the chance for us to work things out."

"VR?" Now that had her attention, "Okay, I mean, I don't wanna discriminate against humans so in a way it'd be wrong for me not to take you up on your offer. Um, yeah, I'm in."
