The cheer championship was a few hours away and Bucky had cut anyone who wasn't completely anti zombie. He was also having an internal crisis because despite the fact that Casey had hated cheer with all of her being, she was one of the best cheerleaders he had. On top of that he was still reeling from the way she broke up with him, in front of an entire crowd at the homecoming game letting her freak white hair out for all to see. That morning when he stepped out onto his porch, he had found his varsity jacket and the Bucky's girl necklace.

Casey was having her own crisis since they were sending all the Zombies back to their zombie only school. Eliza didn't even show up, something that unsettled Casey to no end; there had to be a reason she wouldn't see her off. Casey had managed to bride Gus into letting her help Zed and Bonzo clear out Eliza's stuff. He claimed he would have to tell her parents, but she had already told them everything so her wanting to help clear out her zombie crushes locker wasn't going to raise any red flags for them. "You got all of her stuff," Zed asked.

"Yeah, I think so," Casey mopped. "This sucks," she huffed.

Zed pulled the much smaller girl into a hug, she leaned her head on his chest not at all bothered by the lack of body heat that zombies possessed, she ran hot anyway, "trust me I get it, but everything will be fine." She gave him a look telling him she clearly didn't believe him, "okay it's probably not, but all I can do is try and think positive at this point. Especially since it's my fault."

"It's not your fault!" Casey insisted, "It's this stupid town, and their closed minds." Over the last few weeks Zed and Casey had become great friends and both knew they would become even closer if society would just allow it. "You're not dangerous, none of you are. Eliza didn't hurt me yesterday and I know you didn't hurt Addison. I just wish all these close-minded bigots would get their heads out of their-"

Bonzo cut Casey off no doubt saving her from a weeks' worth of detention for shouting a curse in the middle of the hall. Casey still couldn't understand him all that well, but she did get one specific word, 'Sabotage.'

"Eliza's gonna sabotage something? What?" Zed asked in a panic. Bonzo answered, leaving Casey to rely on Zed to translate for her. "The Cheer championship?" He nodded, "Well come on we gotta stop her."

"I'm coming with you guys," Casey said, chasing after them, a hard task when they were both well over six feet and had much longer legs than her. Someone caught her arm, nearly popping it out of its socket from how fast she had been running. It was Lacey, "I'm busy Jenifer," she snapped her real name letting the girl know she was serious.

Lacey looked at her old friend in clear distress, "Casey, Bucky's lost his mind we don't have enough people for our routine. Please come back, we can't lose if we have you." Part of her felt bad for Lacey, the girl had put everything she was into cheer. She wasn't the smartest and she knew it, so she had to rely on her athletic prowess. So she, like Casey, had been leaning on cheer to get a scholarship, the only difference was that Lacey had fun with it. The other part of Casey was annoyed, one competition and one loss wouldn't kill her chances especially since she wasn't the captain, and the lack of teammates was considered a captain's failure.

This was such a trivial thing to be worried about, there were way bigger problems happening right now and Eliza was about to make it all worse by proving to everyone that they were right about Zombies. She shook her head, "You'll be fine I have to go."

As soon as they made their way to the arena they were keeping an eye out for Eliza, they tried to look inconspicuous but that was a little hard with two six-foot Zombies and a five-foot girl who looked like if a Mozart rose was a person. Casey was desperately hoping her parents hadn't gotten there yet, they had broken a lot of rules when they were her age, but she wasn't sure how ruining a statewide event would go over with them, "Ugh where is she?" Casey groaned.
