Rachel walked out of the theatre smiling widely, she had just auditioned for the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast and it admittedly went amazing. She was walking with a skip in her step and beaming at everything around her. She was so caught up in her perfect mood that she completely missed her best friend leaning against the wall, watching her amusedly whilst holding a single red rose in his hand.

When she walked past him, Sam called after her. "Hey Rae" he grinned when she turned around and launched herself into his arms. "Good audition I take it?" He chuckled.

"Amazing Sam! They said that they definitely want to see me for a callback already! Did you hear that? I got a callback before I even left the theatre" she squealed before taking an appreciative smell of the beautiful flower.

"That's amazing Rach, you're definitely going to get the part" he smiled widely as he flung an arm around her shoulders as they walked.

"Really? So i shouldn't try out for that off Broadway production of Shrek? She asked teasingly, Sam looked away sheepishly.

"You know I didn't mean that princess" he whined and she just giggled. "So, celebration lunch. Where do you want to go? My treat"

"Sardi's!" She squealed.

"Sardi's it is" Sam grinned before the two headed in the direction of Rachel's favourite restaurant.

Once they were seated and had ordered their appetisers and drinks, the two were soon in conversation. "So how do you feel about the whole Puck thing? I mean it only happened a couple of days ago yet you seem fine, I'm proud of you Rae but if you're hiding how you're actually feeling you don't need to with me" he told her gently and she beamed at him.

"I'm honestly okay, I'm pissed at my dad but I'm not going to let that affect me. My mom was one of the nicest people in the world and I know that despite everything she'd want me to get to know Puck as a brother." She answered honestly. "You know Puck's mom transferred him 10,000 dollars yesterday. Turns out my dad has been paying her 100 bucks a month for the past nine years and she was saving it until the truth came out" Rachel told him and Sam's mouth dropped.

"10,000 dollars?" He exclaimed and Rachel nodded. "Holy shit, but then again it doesn't make up for the father figure he's been missing his whole life" he said sympathetically and Rachel agreed.

"But, he seems very happy with it so all we have to do is make sure he doesn't buy some freaking farm or something stupid like that" she giggled. That is something he would most definitely do.

"So Santana is going to be your sister in law?" Sam asked and Rachel nodded excitedly. "Have any sisters for me?" He asked jokingly but Rachel looked at him sympathetically.

"No" she small smiled, "but I do know a few people. Say the word Sam and I'll find you the best girl in New York" she grinned.

"Can't find the best girl when I'm sat in front of her" he said teasingly.

"Smooth" she joked. "But seriously, i will be your matchmaker"

"I think I'll pass on that for now Rae, I'm not that desperate" he rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless at her expression of mock annoyance. "Remember Krystal?" He stated and she looked at him sheepishly.

"How was I supposed to know that she was a hooker?" Rachel argued, Sam just chuckled and shook his head.

"How's things with Hudson?" He asked interestedly and beamed at her expression.

"Amazing" she sighed dreamily. "He's the best. He's funny, smart, handsome and a God in-"

"I don't need to hear about how good Finn is in bed" Sam interrupted her. "But speaking of Finn, how about we grab him a pizza and take it over to the office so we can tell him and Kurt about your audition" he suggested and Rachel smiled widely. When at work, Finn was usually very busy so she knew he didn't always have the time to eat although she did surprise him with food often. However, her surprise visits usually ended with them sneaking into an empty meeting room and him having his way with her on the table, but Sam didn't need to know that.
