Chapter 5

James's POV:

I was talking to one of my new crew when the door burst open. Standing there was a blood dripping, clothing shattered, handcuffed Matt. I growled at the fool.

"What, exactly are you doing here?" Matt was one of the newer members of the gang and although a good fighter, he never quite pleased me, and it nerved me that he looked like, well... like what he did, at the moment. Plus he owed me a good sum of money.

"I tried to get your FN money, that's what happened"

"So answer this, where's my money and why are you bleeding and in handcuffs?"

"Because I tried robbing some dumb ass teenagers, but one let their dog on me to attack, then the cops came and handcuffed me. I kneed  one in the groin and ran back here."

"YOU IDIOT!" I shouted! "Are you that stupid?! The cops probably followed you here, we got to get out! Damn you!" After my rant he still looked smug and I couldn't believe it. No one 'smiled' after I just yelled at them, they cowered behind a corner. " You better wipe that damn smile off your face before I come over there and smack it off you!" I screamed again. "Why are you so smug anyway?"

"Because" he stated proudly, "I stabbed the girl before that dumb dog attacked me." I gawked at him and nodded.

                "Who was it?"

"I don't know, some chick, she's at the hospital, though I doubt she'll actually live." I looked at him again. Then pulled out my gun, he gave me a confused look before I shot two holes straight through his head and he fell limp on the floor.

"You don't kill people unless I tell you too" I stated to the dead body. Then I turned around to Adam.

"Matty boy here led the cops straight to us. Round everyone up and go to this address" I said handing him a slip of paper with the location written down on it. "It's nothing special, just another ware-house, but at least the cops won't find us"

"Where are you going?" he asked curiously.

"Unfinished business" I stated simply, and then walked off.

I drove up to the hospital and walked in. Without bothering to sign in; I walked up to the 3rd floor into the trauma center. Right away I heard the hustle of doctors going back and forth out of a room screaming some nonsense and knew it was the girl that Matt had stabbed. It's surprising how little people notice you when you're just quiet, so no doctors came up questioning me as I walked into her room. I bent around a doctor to get a good look at the girl and did a double take. This was the same girl that beat me in that fight. Anger built up inside of me as I thought back to Matt. He took this girl out with a knife; he wasn't even man enough to fight her, the coward. My heart fell to my gut as I looked at her and heard the beeping of her pulse slowing down. That was weird; I've never felt that way before, like my heart just tore or something. I felt pain for her, I wanted her to live. I looked at her face and it was crinkled up in pain, even when she wasn't awake, but she still looked so damn beautiful. I was torn from my thoughts as a muscular guy probably around my age wrenched open the door. He was wearing the hospital pants and shirt and had an IV in his arm.
