James's POV:

I felt like a stalker, or like that gay sparkly vampire thing from that book, what was it, Midnight? Whatever, I don't even know how I knew about it, the point is, I have been following Nick around for days. Just watching, making sure she's ok. I don't mean to be perverted or anything, but I just love watching her; the way she walks and the way she laughs. Her laugh can make anyone go wild, but she didn't like to laugh, you could tell that she wanted too, but she just didn't.

As of now, I sat drinking some coffee at a little table near the kick boxing place wearing sunglasses and a hat with a gray hooded sweater. Yup, that was the extent of my disguise. I could have gone inside, I do work out there too, but I felt that might be a little too blatant, plus she might remember me from the hospital, too risky I thought. So I waited, just thinking about her. Man... what has this girl done to me, she doesn't even know she does it! About 50 minutes later the door swung open and two men walked out laughing and talking, I caught bits and pieces of their conversation.

"Nick totally beat that poor guys ass" he said laughing.

"No kidding! That girl is something else" they both chuckled at this.

A smile spread across my face so wide I probably looked like that cat from Alice in wonderland. Huh, Alice in wonderland, where are all these references coming from today I thought, but I still couldn't get the fact that my girl beat someone else. She was so tough, I loved it. She didn't need someone there to protect her, she could do it on her own.

A little while later a hooded figure came out, but I couldn't tell who it was, and didn't really care for that matter. Nick walked out not much later in a pair of black sweats and a tank top, yet she still managed to look sexy. I saw her put on a pair of sunglasses and chuckle to herself about something; man, what I would do to figure out what made her laugh. Her eyes glazed over a bit and you could tell she was in her own little world when some idiot on his cell bumped into her and elbowed her in the gut. He kept walking without even a backwards glance. I was about to drag him into a dark ally and beat the crap out of him when I saw Nick bend over in pain and lean on a table for support. I threw my hood up so she wouldn't recognize me and ran over to her. Putting my hands on her hips I gently lifted her up.

"You ok?" I asked knowing full well that if she wasn't I was going to kill that guy.

"Yea, thanks, do I know you from somewhere?" she asked her eyebrows crinkling together trying to think back. Crap, she still semi recognized me.

"Nope" I said popping the 'p' I looked down at her. She was so cute; I wanted to lean down and kiss her and hold on to her forever. Tell her how much she meant to me and I didn't even know her, I wanted so much, but I knew I couldn't. I couldn't risk her getting hurt because someone hated me, so before she could ask any more questions I sprinted off.

I decided to go to the hide out; I needed to tell the guys about a new job anyway. I drove up the gravel road and jumped out of my car, as I walked up Adam drove in too.

"Hey boss" he shouted "got a new job for us?"

"Yup, good pay and easy shot" I shouted back as I walked through the door. "Hey boys, I got a new job for you. Good pay." They looked up awaiting more information "there's a trade off of 1 million down at the docks. Kill 'um, get rid of the bodies, and get the money, and don't screw up, be ready by 0300 tomorrow."

They looked at me for a minute until one finally stood up.

"Well, ya' know boss, a few of us were just talking..." I sighed, these guys were like gossip girls, they talked way too much "... and well we were just wondering why you never, ya' know, did a job yourself..." he looked like he was about to wet himself, and I couldn't blame him, I was thinking about shooting him on the spot, but I figured these guys could take a tip or two from a pro. I nodded and he looked like he was going to pass out from relief.
