Chapter 5

"Do you ever think of me when you lie, lie down in your bed, your bed of lies" was what I woke up to. I pushed snooze on my phone and rolled over to see the sun peeking through my curtains. I smiled at myself to think that I was talking to luke again, it felt like old times. I rolled out of bed and opened my curtains, being blinded by he sun but I ignored it. I grabbed a pair of black jeans and a sweatshirt from my cupboard and some under garments and went into the bathroom. I turned on the taps and felt relieved as the warm water hit my skin. As I stood in the water I remembered that yesterday was a week since mum and Callum's accident.

Once I got dressed I made my bed and cleaned my room a bit. I sat down on my bed and texted luke.
Me: hey what are you doing today?
I took my phone into the bathroom and turned on my straightener. Just as I sat down luke texted back.
Luke: just chilling at home with all the boys, wanna come over?
Me: I would love to, I'll be over in 20
Luke: can't wait :)

I quickly straightened my hair and just put some foundation and maskara on since I was only going to the lukes house. I felt excited. I grabbed my black converses and my phone and jogged downstairs. "Hey mum" I said as I went into the lounge room and sat next to her. "Where are you going?" She asked as I slipped on my shoes. "Im just going over to Lukes, remember luke?" I said as i tied my laces. "Are you talking again?" "Yeah" I said standing up and brushing myself off. "Oh that's great, I miss seeing his face around here" she said smiling.

I quickly ran back up the stairs and stood at Callum's door. I creeped it open and it was pitch black. I shined my phone light on the floor so I didn't trip over anything. I reached Callum and I kissed him on the cheek. "Cya Callum" I whispered. I exted his room without a sound and said goodbye to mum and walked out the door. The cool, autum breeze hit my face as I pulled out my phone to check the time. I walked over to the Brooks' house and stood at the door. I missed this. I slowly knocked on the door three times. Inside I heard running around and talking. Eventually someone opened he door, it was Gina.

"Jess?" "Is that you" gina questioned. "Hello gina!" I said hugging her. "Oh my gosh darling, you look great, I have missed you so much!" She said still wrapped around my body. "Come, come inside" she said pulling me inside. The warm atmosphere instantly warmed me. "Come sit" gina said tapping the spare seat next to her on the lounge. "How have you been darling?" Gina asked. "I have been pretty good, I am looking for a different job though, I didn't like working at 711" I said laughing. "How have you been" I asked her. "Alright, the boys are growing up so they are a bit easier to take are of" she said smiling.

"Is Jess he-" luke said running into the room. "Hey" I said as I stood up. He smiled at me and held his hands behind his back. "Wanna come upstairs?" "Sure" I said following luke upstairs. The hallway smelt like cologne and deodorant. We stopped at a door as luke turned around to me. "You look amazing by the way". He opened the door and four pairs of eyes were on me. "Jess?" Jai asked. "Hey jai" i said smiling to myself because that rhymed. "JESS!" Jai said running up and hugging me. "I have missed you" he said. " I have missed you too jai" I said embraced in him. He let go and the others were lined up waiting for a hug. I laughed to myself and hugged them all.

I sat down on the end Lukes bed with him next to me. The others were all on the floor infront of us. "Can we please play T or D?!" James whined. We all agreed and sat down on the floor in a circle. We got an empty bottle and sat in infront of us. Beau was the oldest so he span first. "Luke truth or dare?" He said slyly. "Truth" luke said. "Do you have feelings for Jess?" "Yes" he replied instantly. I was shocked. "Ooooooh" everyone joined in. "Okay my turn" luke said grabbing the bottle. He span it and it landed on me. Oh fuck. "Truth or dare Jess" luke said smirking. "Dare" I said proudly. "Make out with me" he smiled.

I thought about it for a second then crawled to the other side of the circle. I sat flat on my knees and grabbed his jaw in both of my hands. Our eyes stared into eachothers as our lips met and we kissed passionately. It went for 30 seconds or so as we both pulled away and smiled. "JESS, it's your turn" daniel said breaking our "moment" I sat back down in my seat and smiled at luke as I spun the bottle.
