Chapter 1

I woke up with the sound of birds tweeting at my window. I rolled onto my back and rubbed my eyes as I sat up. I clicked the home button on my phone and faintly read the screen. 7:35am. "fuck" I said as I threw the covers off myself and ran into the bathroom. I jumped into the shower but skipped washing my hair. I put on some makeup and went back into my bedroom, still dripping wet, and frantically running around trying to find some clothes. I ended up putting on some blue jeans and a black sweatshirt. I chucked my phone into my pocket and grabbed my bag from next to the desk. I got my hairbrush and my shoes and ran down the stairs, shutting my door behind me, and ran into the lounge room.

I put on my black converses and took out my ponytail and began to brush it as I walked Into the kitchen. "Hey mum" I said as I put my hair into a messy bun. "Hello Jess, you late again?" She said with a smirk on her face. I narrowed my eyes at her as I grabbed a piece of toast and ran back into the lounge room to see Callum sitting on the lounge watching tv. "Great morning isn't it Jessica?" He said sarcastically as I checked my phone. I ignored Callum because he was my stupid 7th grader brother and was annoying as fuck. I'm in year 12 and don't need shit from him.

It was 8:05am and school started at 8:30 so I needed to leave now.

- Be out front now xx. Was what I texted Casey. Casey is my best friend and has been since we were 7 years old. "Cya mum" I yelled into the house before I left. The cool American breeze hit my face as i walked to my car. I got into my car, put the keys into the ignition and chucked my bag onto the back seat. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and seen a text from "Sis😘" (which was Casey). -Righto I'm out front now :). I put my phone in the drink holder and reversed out of the drive way. I drove down a house next door and pulled up on the curve of Casey's house to see her standing there with her bag on her back.

"Hey" I said as she got into the car. "OH MY GOSH!" She said as she sat down in the passenger seat. "Good to see you too" I said being sarcastic. She gave an annoyed look at me and continued talking. "So-" she began again but I cut her off. "Seatbelt" I said smiling at my own comment. She rolled her eyes and clicked on her seatbelt. I began to drive to school as Casey started again. "So as I was saying, I was talking to Beau last night" she said. I rolled my eyes and smirked at myself with my eyes still on the road because I knew she was looking at me. "And he asked me to be his girlfriend!!!!" She yelled as I used my hand to cover the ear that was closest to her.

We eventually pulled up at school. I checked my phone as I pulled out the keys and jumped out of the car and shut the door. "Fuck it's 8:40" I said as I looked at Casey over the car roof. We quickly grabbed our bags and I locked the car. We ran to our dear room together noticing that everyone was already in class. We ran up the stairs in block 2 and up to the door that said "250". We bursted open the door noticing everyone was quiet and reading. We began laughing when we noticed our teacher Miss Webb was looking at us with disappointment. "Jess and Casey come here now" she said in her deep voice. I looked at Casey and tried not to laugh.

"Whats your excuse this time for being late?" She asked. I looked at Casey and said "There was a lot of traffic this morning Miss" Casey nodded and Webb stared blankly at me. I felt awkward and looked down at my hands but I could still feel her burning eyes going straight through my sole. I looked at Casey and she had a smile on her face. When I looked around the classroom everyone was looking at me, I then looked at the devil herself to see her standing right in front of me. I jumped back and she began to laugh. "Ahahahahah" she said. I looked at her like she was on drugs and walked to my seat.

When we sat down I pulled out my book and my phone. I put the book on the table and held the cover of the book up so miss couldn't see my hidden phone. "She's crazy" I whispered to Casey. "I know right" she replied. I looked around the room and something caught my eye. A boy in the back row next to two other boys. 'Luke Brooks' I said to myself.

The day went quickly, Casey and I had Miss Webb for English and everytime she walked past me she laughed to herself, it was beginning to creep me out. My last class I had was Art and I had my two other best friends to make the class go faster. "What are your plans for the holidays?" Sophie asked me as I tapped my pencil on the table. "Ah maybe some movies at mine to start the holidays off, wanna come?" I asked the girls. "I don't know if I can because I have this thing with my parents but I'll try get out of it" Sophie said. Mr Bennie was our Art teacher, he was cool but talked for hours.

I looked at the clock. It said 3:07. We had three minutes until I was free for four weeks. I loved Friday's because then it's the weekend, but it was even better because we had four weeks off because it was the end of the term. I looked over at Laney who had her head on the table, probably asleep. Sophie was on her phone and everyone else was drawing or talking. Except for one boy in the corner of the room. Luke Brooks. He was looking at me again. I tuned to Sophie and said "hey luke keeps staring at me" "Yeah I think he might like you" she said. "But why could he like me?! He's 1/5 of the janoskians, they are like famous" I said. "I DIDNT KILL HIM!" Laney yelled as she woke up. Everyone started to laugh as her face went red.

We walked towards the car park and met Casey at my car. As we were walking Luke walked past me. His cologne was amazing, he smelt like heaven and roses. Oh my gosh he smelt like an angel. I got distracted looking at him as I walked into the back of my car and fell backwards onto my arse. I screamed and the girls ran over to me. Well Laney walked but you know."There's a fucking car there Jessikar" Laney joked. They all huddled around me as well as Luke. "Are you okay?" He said holding out his hand waiting for me to grab it. As I did I felt a spark in our hand. Like something I have never felt before. It was amazing. "Thanks" I said fixing my shirt. I kneeled down and began to pick up my books and Luke helped me. "Thanks" I repeated. "It's no problem" he said winking at me. His voice was amazing to. "Ahhhhhhhermmmmmmm" I moaned as I looked at his big, beautiful hazel eyes and that gorgeous smile of his. "Jess?" He said snapping me out of my daydreaming. "Oh sorry" I said blushing. Laney was trying not to laugh.

Luke and I exchanged numbers before we all gathered into my car. "Ooooooh Jess" Casey said. "Someones in looooove" Sophie said. "AHAHHA I CANT BELIEVE YOU RAN INTO YOUR CAR!!" Laney said laughing historically. She's always been the mature one out of all of us (sarcasm). I ignored them and dropped Sophie off first since her house was first in our street. I then drove next door and dropped Laney off. The house next door to hers was Caseys, And then mine. Our houses are all next to each other because our mums went to school together and they were all best friends. They agreed to live next to each other and it was a coincidence we were all born the same year. I pulled into my driveway and got out of my car. I got my bag from the back seat and locked the car. I looked over the car roof into next doors garden and saw Luke, Beau and Jai gathering out of Beaus car. Beau had finished school because he was older but that didn't stop Casey. Luke waved at me and I smiled at him. I walked up to my door but tripped up the stairs. I regained my balance and saw Luke chuckling at me. I laughed and went inside.
