Chapter 9

The doctors made me go back to my room to get some rest since I wasnt supposed to be walking around yet. It was so amazing to be able to see everyone again. Im so thankful im alive. Everyone followed me back to my room and huddled around my bed as I climbed back in. "Ah" i said as my body was finally able to rest again, walking and running really took a lot out of me. Everyone smiled at my sympathetically. There was a half circle of people huddled around my bed. Starting from my left was Luke, James, Daniel, Jai, Beau, Gina, Laney, My mum, then Casey. Luke gripped my hand in his and I turned to him and smiled. "So" i said smiling and waiting for someone to talk.

All throughout the room I heard sniffles, I turned to my mum and seen tears stream down her face. "I love you" i said as she leaned over my shoulder and hugged me. "I love you too" she whispered. She pulled away and held my other hand. "I'll be outside, spend some time with your friends darling" she said smiling. Gina followed her outside and everyone shuffled around so there were no gaps inbetween each body. Casey sat down in the chair that was next to my mum and grabbed my other hand. Nobody has said a word yet. I thought I might play a little trick on the boys. "Um so, ah who are you people?" I said pointing to the boys. All eyes were wide, even Casey's and laneys. "What?" Daniel said dumbfounded.

"It's me Jess, come on please it's luke" luke said as tears nearly fell out of his eyes. He looked so worried and sad. I looked across the boy's faces and they all had tears in their eyes, but I was surprised when Daniel had a waterfall streaming down his face, I thought luke would. "Im sorry" i said. Luke let go of my hand and put his elbows on his knees and rubbed both his hands through his hair. I grabbed his hand again and he looked at me weirdly. "I love you Lukey" I said smiling. "WHAT?" He yelled and a giant smile was plastered on his face. "And I love you too James, Daniel, Jai, and Beau. Daniel quickly wiped his watery eyes. "Come here Daniel" I said sitting up and hugging him. I turned to Luke and he never took his eyes off me.

"Kiss me" i said softly. And that's exactly what he did. His lips were so soft and gentle against mine. Towards the end of the kiss I heard a camera on someone's phone go off and everyone lauging. We both pulled away and smiled at eachother, we looked to Jai at the end of the bed with Lukes phone, smiling. Straight away my phone lit up beside me and seen a snapchat from "baby💕". I picked it up and slid it across to reveal many snapchats from people, but mostly they were all from luke. I clicked on his contact name. It went for about 100 seconds. I turned up my volume on my phone and looked at the photos and videos. The first was a picture of luke with his hand against his face. Next was a video that James took, and he said "Luke misses you so much Jess" with luke with his face in his hands. Then came some videos of Luke saying how much he loves me.

Towards the end, the last 20 seconds was a picture of Laney and Casey holding my hands and crying, each side of my bed. Tears streamed down my face as I read the caption. "I would do anything to get you back" I looked at Luke who also had tears rolling one after another down his face. I clicked the screen which had the picture that Jai took of Luke and I. The caption was "true love at its finest". I screenshotted the last two pictures and smiled at Jai. I sat my phone back down on the table and put my attention back to my friends after i sighed. "What have I missed?" I asked and giggles escaped from everyone's mouths.

After some updating and more talking, all the boys left except for luke, Laney and Casey. "I missed you guys so much" I said towards my two best friends. They both smiled before Casey said "I missed you too" and held my hand. "Im so excited I can leave tomorrow" i said smiling. "So am I babe" luke softly said. "Can you give me a minute?" I asked politely towards Luke. He nodded and smiled and kissed my forehead. "I'll be outside" he said before going towards the door, he tapped Laney's shoulder and she left aswell. Casey held me hand and squeezed tighter as tears streamed down her cheek. "I love you so much" she said before smiling though tears. I began to cry more than her and squeezed her hand tighter and rubbed my thumb on her hand.

I moved over and Casey layed beside me in the discusting hospital bed. I held her left hand and she held my right. I turned onto my side and rested my head on the side of her shoulder. She used her other hand to pet my hair. Tear after tear rolled off my face onto the White sheets and we layed in silence. I looked out the window that was infront of us, it was beginning to get dark. "Im so clumsy" i said softly, referring to why I was here in the first place. Casey giggled and said "I know you are" and kissed the same spot that luke had, on my forehead. Casey began to hum a familiar song before singing "but the feelings overwhelming its much to strong..." I understood what song she was singing and decided to join in.

"Can I layyyy byyyy your side... Next to youuu, yoooooooh, and make sure your alightttt, I'll take care off yoooooh, I don't want to be here if I can't be with yoooou tonighttt" I smiled at the memories of Casey and I singing together, she always has had such a beautiful voice but I just done it for fun like around the house and stuff, I think after we finish school she will either be a dance teacher or a single for sure. "I have missed this" i said before curling back into Caseys arm and began to get sleepy. As I was about to drift off to sleep I heard Casey reply.
"So have i".
