Chapter 3

"Girls I got coffee" Liam shouted throughout the apartment. Alethea and I ran from her room and into the kitchen and we saw him standing there with three coffees and his gym bag.

"Thank you so much bubba I needed this" Alethea says taking her frappe from the carrier.

"Thanks, Li"

"What have y'all been up to?" He asks taking a sip from his cup.

"We filmed a video last week of us running in that giant bear and got it uploaded so we've been chilling around the apartment and going to the bookstore" I answer shrugging. I push myself up and onto the counter next to where Liam is leaning and I start swinging my legs back and forth.

"Speaking of do you wanna be in a video for this week?" Alethea asks looking at her older brother.

"Depends on what we're doing"

"Well, we've been wanting to do that drive through swap prank. If you want to do that we can" I shrug looking over at him.

"Yeah sure sounds fun. Now come here I want a hug" he says pulling Alethea towards him.

"What's gotten into you? We saw each other last week?" She asks smiling as she hugs her brother. He lets go of the hug and hugs me as well before going back to his original position against the counter.

"What I can't want a hug from my sisters?" He asks looking between us.

"No just curious" Alethea answers before her phone started buzzing. She started typing something with a sad look on her face before putting it back down on the counter.

"What's wrong?" I ask still swinging my legs back and forth.

"Corbyn is going back to Virginia" she mumbles looking down.

"Who's Corbyn?" Liam asks looking between us.

"Just someone I met at the book store don't worry about it"

"Well is he cute?" He asks smirking. She just nods her head with a small smile growing on her face as she bites her lip.

"She's blushing," I say smiling while looking at her. Her cheeks just go three shades darker and she covers her face with her hands.

"If it makes you feel any better Jonah went back to Minnesota," I say trying to make her feel better.

"Now who's Jonah?" The brunette boy asks looking at me.

"Another boy we met at the bookstore" I shrug.

"Is he cute?"

"Very much. Like Shawn Mendes and Brandon Flynn had a baby" I make my lips form a straight line as I nod looking at the boy next to me.

"Wow okay then" he nods his head as well "No boyfriends? I don't have to beat anyone up yet?"

"Nope," Alethea says popping the p.

"Oh, shit dad said to mark your calendar for the thirtieth for a cookout. He also said invite some friends but you two don't have any besides each other so" I just smack Liam on his arm as he throws his hands up in defense and walks away from me.

"Yeah you better run away," I say glaring at him.

"I mean am I wrong?" He asks.

"Yes yes, you are. We have cute guy friends" Alethea states sticking her straw into her mouth.

"Corbyn and Jonah," Liam says smiling.

"Exactly"

"Invite them. Dad and I can embarrass y'all" he smirks looking at the short girl next to him.
