Spy School: Out In The Woods(Completed)

The Flood.

ben's POV

As I got my food ready and it was ramen today for breakfast and my dog ate a few sausages and 3 handfuls of dog food since when I first got him I could see his ribs from a mile away. 

As I then walked over to the main cabin of the shelter and there was a fire that was in the middle since it was pretty cold today in the morning, unlike the other days. Today I noticed that the shelter was pretty big and not far beyond the shelter is the main road. 

So the houses were made from flammable material but the owners from the shelter say that they never saw any fire in the past 100 years of service. As I then walked closer to the campfire there was Mike and Zoe, as well and Erica, but Joshua wasn't there. 

As I then sat down and waited for Joshua he was still not here at all. As I then said, "today is a cold day so why don't we play indoors. So we then walked over to the main doors of the shelter book out room and when Erica and Zoe entered the man at the desk blushed like hell. 

As we then got closer he didn't talk and just gave us a clipboard of the different styles of cabins you want. So we pretty much didn't have much money on our hands, but when Erica walked out the doors and pickpocketed 20 people's bags a purse we got enough money to buy the most expensive cabin. 

As we then paid and we got our keys, I almost forgot today was the game with the raptors and Golden State Warriors. I loved watching them (In reality I don't). As I then walked over to our shared cabin. 

As we then had a 10 x 10 television screen, as we then headed over to our own private rooms and it was just like our modern house but made out of non-polished wood that smelled great. 

As we then unpacked our stuff and we agreed to go back to the family room or the main room of the wooden house. Mike and Zoe went to the kitchen that was located in the back of the wooden house.

As they then came with a whole plate of salsa and chips dip, as well an extra-large salad for Erica. As we then got into our position and we were 30 minutes early. So we turned the TV on and it was the weather forecast.  

Uh. I looked at the clock and it was only 2 minutes until the movie started so I decided not to switch the channel. As I listened we all laughed when the weatherman said that a dam close to our hiking area and the winds were really strong flowing the water quickly to our area. 

I actually took it seriously, but to let lose the stress I finally burst out laughing. As the movie then started we go into our positions and when we ate our chips and salsa as well as our drinks and salad. 

As we were halfway through the movie I heard gushing of rain and ail outside smashing against our window but the house was still standing. For now. 

I thought, "what if the weatherman was telling the truth?". I knew that I was holding my golden stone that my grandpa named Alexander Ripely.  He chipped out from the rocks in the gold rush back then.

To get the gold, he had through different obstacles and once when he was killing some geese there was a massive flood that engulfed the whole tent. Then he used and raft that he used in the flood, he made it from the earth around them, so he was the handful of people who survive but they had to wait until the waters went away. But it took months.

I thought maybe I can be just like my grandfather. As the wind outside took a heavy toll on the smaller cabins in the place. As the wind got stronger and the hail turned into sleet we still were safe in our cabins. As we waited Zoe and Erica said in unison, "I sleepy I am going to go upstairs",
