Episode 41

(Gryffin's pov)

When y/n dropped and I caught her in my arms and saw her face. I was shocked, happy, and confused at the same time. Jene pushed past the crowd and looked at y/n with pure shock.
"Get her to the master bedroom." She ordered and I picked her up completely and carried her to the bedroom, gaining a towel and drying her off. The women changed her in comfortable clothes. I put her to bed, tucking her in and sitting by her and holding her hand tightly in mine.
How? How was it possible? She died in my arms. It didn't make sense.
"Is she okay?" Jene asked, walking into the room and sitting down in a chair. "Her hearts beating." I tell her.
"That's something." I held her hand tightly and I hear jene clear her throat. "Why are you holding her hand like that?" He asked me and I shake my head and let it go.
"No reason." She hummed and eyed closely before looking at y/n. "I hope she wakes up soon to explain whats going on." Jene said.
I still couldn't wrap my head around her being alive. The thing is, someone of dark energy would have had to revive her in order for her to be alive.
Jene seemed to have a denial look on her face as she stared at the queen that laid in bed sleeping.
"She might be asleep for awhile." I say to her. Jene sighed and nodded. "Let me know when she's awake. You'll watch her." I nodded and watched her leave and I grabbed y/n's hand.
"How...?" I asked her, knowing she was asleep. Her hands were cold so cold, sending shivers up and down my spine.
I soon fell asleep on the chair. Hours pass by and not a word from y/n as I slept. Until I heard a rustle on the bed. I jumped awake to see y/n sitting at the end of the bed groaning.
I stand up and help her back in bed. "You need to rest here for a bit." I tell her softly and she stared a me for a moment, stopping me from doing so. She then wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug. No words. I hugged her back. Neither one of us spoke, we just embraced each other lovingly.
I noticed the sun peaking out over the horizon. The storm finally passed over.
I pulled away from her once the door opened and she laid back down. Jene was inside and her and jene make eye contact. Jene sits down on the chair and looked her in the eyes. "How?" She asked y/n, Phoenix came in with food and rested the trey on y/n's lap.
"Y/n sits up in bed and looked at all of us." Especially at me.
"My mother...from the equinox she sent me back here. I hadn't fulfilled life yet she told me." Y/n explained to us, or at least what information she could even remember. Me and jene looked at each other then back at y/n to let her continue.
"The reason why I'm still alive is that I hold both light and darkness. They both binded together to keep my soul alive, but my body was left to die there. My soul was preserved by the energies and they sent me to the equinox." She explained in deep detail about what she had went through.
"My mother told me that the light and the darkness are two halves of the same thing. It's a matter of how you use it and manipulate it to your liking." Jene was astonished to hear this from her niece. Hearing what she had seen and heard. The girl saw her mother who sent her back to the reality from the equinox, a place where endo and demwar go to die.
"How was the equinox?" Jene asked her. Y/n had a serene look on her face, the most calmest eyes I've ever seen.
"Both the light and the darkness were binding together constantly there. It wasn't scary it wasn't upsetting, it wasn't chaotic. It was a place of calm, and peace." It eased my nerves in a way, hearing that my soul could pass to a calm place. Where I can finally put my soul to rest. The equinox was always said to have a chaotic energy with the darkness and the light trying to overpower each other. But now I've talked to someone whos been there, it puts me at ease. But what puts me at most ease is y/n being here and alive.
Seeing her beauitful face made me feel at peace within again...

(Y/n's pov)

Seeing gryffin again was like coming home to a nice husband after war. I wanted to hug him tightly but jene was here. I couldn't let her see us both. After that kiss it was pretty much evident he loved me too. I can see the swirls of emotions in his eyes as he stared at me with love and happiness.
"What did she look like?" Jene then asked me, referring to my mother. I could feel a smile etch on my face.
"Young a beauitful. She never changed." Jene took a calm deep breath and smiled at me. "I'm glad your back. But y/n...we have problems." She says and I stopped her there. "I know..." I say and they all raised brows at me. "Time in the equinox goes faster than the afterlife." I simply tell them and jene hummed. "So you know helga is the empress. The tyrant has won." I scoffed. "Not unless we take it back." I say confidently. Jene sighed deeply and shakes her head. "We couldn't if we wanted to. She has eyes everywhere." She told me and i sit up straight. "No. I am not going to stand by and watch my people suffer." I say and I crawled out of bed, stumbling but gryffin held my arms gently to help me a bit. "I will fight, even if it means I have to die over and over again to get my throne back." I tell jene with full confidence. Gryffin put his hands on my shoulders and squeezed them tightly. Jene stared at me and rubbed her chin. "What do you suppose we do?" She asked then. I thought about it long and hard, how were we going to take it back, we would need a plan that is plausible. "I say we recruit, stock up on supplies, and we train. Hard. Than we figure it out from there." I say to them.
"She's right. We have to take back saedol. If we don't it could be like this forever. I say we keep a close eye on the demwars and keep up to date with their plans. We would also need to take this time to train y/n. Training y/n would be the biggest threat to Helga." Gryffin told them. Jene was very hesitant, looking at us with narrowed eyes as she big her thumb. The woman who brought me breakfast pitched in. "I'm in. Us leaders will dedicate time and energy to training you." She says to me with a reassuring smile, making me smile back at the woman. "Phoenix, my name is phoenix." She extended her arm out and i took it. Jene was still silent until she finally decided to speak. "You follow my lead. Understood?" I nodded at her with understanding. "Gryffin and I will train you along with Phoenix. I'll order the other leaders to train the new and the young." Jene said, making me smile finally. "Then it's settled, endo is back in buisness." I say, jene had a smile etched on her face. "Lets go tell the others."
We filed in the room where it all started. The discussion table, all endo sat at the top seats while the leaders, gryffin and I sat at the table. The endo members looking down at us.
"I'm getting nostalgia." I say to gryffin as he sat next to me. "Me too." He smiled and looked down at my hand, gently taking it. I squeezed his hand and smiled at him. "Can we talk after? Alone?" He asked me. I nodded and looked at jene as she was about to begin.
"As you may all know, y/n douglas is alive! She has informed us that the light and the darkness had binded together to keep her soul alive while it leaves the vesil alone. She's come from the equinox."
Mumbles through out the room start up as they all looked at me with shock on their faces.
"Silence! Now is the time that we start OUR REBELLION AND HELP THE PEOPLE GET SAEDOL BACK!" Roaring cheers erupted in the room happily as they all were exploding with excitement. I smiled as I looked at everyone above us, gryffin squeezed my hand gently and looked at me. I looked into his eyes and felt my heart skip a beat.
"The demwars won't have anymore control! We will take it back! Y/n will take the throne she deserved back from the demwars!" The cheers got louder. It made me happy that there was finally hope for everyone. I made me happy that I was back with gryffin, with my love.
"Y/n would you like to say a few words?" Jene asked me over the roaring crowd who then went silent for me as I stood up.
I crossed my hands over each other with both my thumbs interlocking with each other. Making a U shape with my hands over my chest.
"UNITY!" everyone did the same as i did including jene and gryffin. He stood up beside me and said: "UNITY!"
Causing everyone to yell in sync.
"UNITY!"
