(Y/n's pov)

The morning rises and my handmaidens were making sure I was ready for the day to meet the court to discuss the matter of my protection. They put a red and white dress on me, doing my hair up in a braided crown with my crown on top of my head. They did my makeup and let me up off the chair to look at myself in the mirror. The door opens to reveal gryffin's emotionless self, looking at my outfit he bowed, letting me know we should be going now.
We walked down the grand staircase and heard gryffin beside me grumble. I was about to ask him what was wrong but when my eyes laid upon the two suspicious knights that stood by the door. I narrowed my eyes slightly, begging to the Lord above they will not be accompanying us.
"M'lady, we hope to be of extra service of protection." The knight, sam says with a small smile directly to me. But when I was about to kindly decline his offer, gryffin did it for me.
"Knights, I understand the concern for her safety. But you must trust my judgment." Gryffin says in a passive aggressive tone that the knights by the looks on their faces didn't appreciate. "Now if you'll excuse me and the queen, we best be on our way." Gryffin put his hand on my back and gently pushed me forward to walk out the door to the carriage. I could feel the glares from behind me but gryffin forced me to stay looking forward. "Do not look, keep going." He helped me up in the carriage and got in himself as well.
Once we arrived to have the meeting it went well regarding the security threats against me. Once we've arrived, we entered a room with four senators in front of us with a chair facing in front of them. On the right and the left side were two different parties that voiced opinions and ideas. I went over to the chair and desk calmly and sat down, gryffin stood by my side with his hands behind his back. The senators greet me and begin the process of discussing what we could do to up the security for myself and the people.
"Lady y/n, it's wonderful to see you alive." Senator laura chuckled as she put her glasses on, the room began to chuckle and begun the session. "I believe the security will be upped 30%." Senator erin says as he pulled his notes out, on the right side, the people began to object to it. "We will be implemating money towards the training of our guards. We will be having them go through shorter training sessions so that they will be out patrolling before we know it." Laura announces which causes an uproar from both sides.
"THATS NOT SAFE FOR THE PEOPLE!" The right side had argued. "WE MUST PROTECT THE PEOPLE! GIVE THE GUARDS EVERYTHING THEY SHOULD KNOW AND PUT THEM OUT IMMEDIATELY!" The left side had argued back until erin had called back into order. "Please order!" I shouted but the uproar of people was just louder as they shouted over each other. I hated both of these sides, believing they were right when some of their ideas wouldn't work. I looked up at gryffin with worry that the bickering wouldn't stop. His cold eyes glanced into mine, his gaze softened. He looked at the senators who tried to yell over the bickering trying to bring the court back to order. I noticed gryffin's annoyance until a very and I mean VERY sharp and loud whistle came from gryffin. It caused the whole room to look at him in shock. Some people including myself had covered their ears at the sudden loud whistle. "Are we going to argue like children or discuss like adults? I hope it's the second one." Gryffin growled and I gave him a thank you kind of look. He looked at me and nodded, putting his hands behind his back once again, clearing his throat.
"What's your name sir?" Senator erin asked curiously, seeming fascinated by the man next to me. "Gryffin azalar." He answered simply. "Well azalar, I admire your interest in wanting to help. I assume you are the endo we heard is protecting the queen?" I grew confused as to how they figured out so quickly. "How did you know?" I asked and one of the senators, dana chuckled. "Your handmaiden feya had informed us by mail." An o shape appeared on my lips as I nodded. I had to try and remember what i was going to propose to the court. Then it quickly came back to me as I sat up straight and cleared my throat. "Senators, I will propose we put much coin into the security of this kingdom. We do not take away from businesses or education or even medical services. But we should not have guards freshly out of their academy to roam the streets with little knowledge of how to hold a sword." I say confidently with furrowed brows. The senators looked at each other, nodding as they took notes. "So I must take it that you agree with me. Then it is settled that more security will be in affect by tomarrow. A month or 2 of training for soliders in the academy. If it's not enough then they must consult me. Now if you'll excuse me, I shall retire to the castle. This court is dismissed." I say, causing them to stand up and walked out of the building with gryffin by my side. "You handled that well m'lady." Gryffin complimented with some surprised laced in his tone as he turned to me. I looked at him with a raised brow. "What? You believe I could not handle myself in that room?" I joked but he didn't laugh. All he did was shrug and helped me in the carriage following right after. "You seem so kept to yourself m'lady. That's all." He said and folded his arms as he looked out the window. Silence overtook us both until I tried to strike a conversation. "Do you like politics?" I asked of him, he looked at me, not turning his head as he shook it. "Not a fan, it's not something for me to let influence my mind. One should have their opinions and one should have respect of one's opinions. Politics doesn't allow a person to be right until both sides agree." This sudden statement was such a shock to me as he said it. I didn't know a person with such a view of politics would exist. "That's why we have two parties. It's good to have different opinions and of course people will not agree. But your beliefs are your beliefs and sadly not everyone will like you if you think a certain way." I explained and he turned his full attention to me as he raised a brow. "Wouldn't it be frustrating? Bickering back and fourth until they come to some sort of 'agreement'?" His question made me chuckle. "Sadly bickering is the only thing that will bring any sort of agreement. Of course some people will not like it but at least it's an agreement." I explained but only earning a hum from him as silence deafened us both once again. The carriage was carried to a halt as we stopped by the castle, I see feya smiling up at me. "How did it go m'lady?" She asked and I sighed softly. "Well, money will be invested in the security of myself and the people. More protection but a little less training in the academy of royal protection." I explained as we walked through the gates to the castle. I hear feya sigh softly. "At least that's something, I'm not sure if I would agree with decreasing the time of training for the policing." Feya voiced her opinions but sadly the world will not change with one individuals opinion. The world will remain the same no matter how badly you want things to change. "It's all we can do as of now feya." I say as we walked through the doors of the castle, hearing the loud doors shutting behind us. "I know. M'lady, you have a letter." Feya says as she turned it into me, I take it gently from her and read it.

Queen y/n, I hope this letter finds you well. This is emperor ryoo. I want to inform you that there will be meeting with all royal kingdoms of the empire as a start to the investigation in finding the the tyrant.
This meeting will be held tomarrow at noon. I will see you soon dearest y/n.
From emperor ryoo jen.

I hummed as i read the letter and folded it again. "Thank you maiden feya. I will be going to the capital tomarrow, keep eye on the castle while I'm gone during that time." She bows in response, leaving me to walk to my office. "Where shall we be going m'lady?" Gryffin asked curiously. "To my office. I have bills to pass or turn away." With that being said it was exactly what I did with gryffin once again in the same room looking around. It continued to be silent. Not for long though.
