The emcee started the orientation,
"Good day everyone! Welcome all UP freshmen. It's amazing to see everyone here today and it seems like the UP community is gonna grow once more with this new batch of UP freshmen"
He discussed stuff about the courses and the university's vision and stuff. I think I heard something about the university's history. I couldn't comprehend all of what he's saying because I'm still dying in my seat here feeling nauseous. I'll just ask them later about the missing details.
It's been 10 minutes of him speaking, it's getting annoying now. Ughhhh, I think I'm gonna vomit anytime soon. Then the emcee said something about sports, my nauseous state of mine disappeared and now I'm listening attentively to the emcee about this sports thing.
"This year, we decided on letting every student at the university have their own sport. We will let them choose their desired sport and every so often, you will train and play that sport. The board decided to do this to make students proactive and healthy in their time here at the university. We will announce further announcements in the Announcement Board of each College." the emcee said
"What's this now, we need to have a sport, I don't have" I forgot, Felix doesn't have his own sport
"You should try sports, Lex, it's fun you know"
"Coming from you Mi, you already have a sport, I don't have mine"
"Well I'll go with martial arts but you should try the things you like, how about board games or soccer" those are some good suggestions but-
"Just come with me Lex, if you don't have" I suggested
"Volleyball? I don't know that, I'm bad at athletics" he's still complaining
"I'll teach you, just come with me okay?" just be convinced already
"Fi-ne, I'll go with Nick" Yesh, I have someone to go with
"Nice choice, take care of you two, I'm not there to stop you guys so behave" I'll behave, promise- eek!
"Nice! Let's continue listening to the emcee then"
We continued listening to the emcee for about a couple more hours. He once mentioned something about rules and policies in the University and the time when we usually have our break time.
It's very different from our time in high school, I bet I'll meet a ton of new people here and you know what I'm the most excited about?, The volleyball club, of course, I think I didn't mention this but I'm a huge volleyball fan and a player myself. I've played in a team in my high school days; I'm excited to experience it here especially that Felix is joining me.
"For those who will excel in their specific sports, there might be the chance that you will be part of the varsity team of the school and receive scholarships for your participation. I hope everyone had learned a thing or two about the school today, you may now proceed with the tour"
The emcee finished the orientation and now we will begin touring around the campus, I have not fully explored and known every part of the University so this will be a great experience for me to know the campus more
"Let's go on now with the group" Felix walked in front of us and followed the others
"The campus is sure big huh?"
"Yeah, this is one of the biggest campuses in the Philippine after all" I would agree to that
"I wanna start running around this big field here" bad idea
