Chapter 4

Cafe Castello | 8:15 AM

"Mr. Servus, you can pick me up later about 5 pm" I arrived at the cafe a bit early

"Okay sir, I will send you a message later if I'm already outside" The car left and I entered the cafe.

It seems that Ryu is still not here. There are a few people inside the cafe, it's not very busy inside. I will just find a table for us and I'm also tired so I'm gonna sit here while waiting for him.

Then a waitress came to my table, "Sir, do you have any order?" the waitress asked

"Uhmm... can I have water? I'm still waiting for someone"The waitress went back and brought a glass of water

Where is he? It's not normal for him to be late like this. I've met Ryu since I started homeschooling. I met him when his father went to our house for a business meeting then sometime; he started talking with me even though I didn't answer him at first.

After some time, he kept on visiting our house to play with me and one time. It was his birthday I think, he went to our house and invited me to his birthday in this cafe. He even tried to convince my father to let me go to his party. I couldn't believe that he convinced my father at that time.

I'm not sure if it was because his father and mine are business mates or Ryu's power of convincing. He has been my one and only close friend in my life. He is quite the social guy while I am a lonely introvert staying in the corner. . . .

"Seishii... Seishiiiii... Oi, Seishi" I heard a voice while I was reminiscing

"Seishi! How are you!" Oh, Ryu is here with his smile on his face

"Well, I'm alright. You?" Did I sleep or something?

"I'm great! I was jumping so hard when I heard you're going with me to university!" I'm glad too. His positivity engulfed the cafe and it feels very warm. He sat down and called the waitress.

"What do you want to eat today sir?" the waitress came and asked

"Uhmm... Can I have lasagna and juice for me? How about you Seishi?" he eats a lot, he says "so that I'll get taller" though I'm a few feet taller than him

"I'll have a milkshake for me" I ordered randomly. I don't really eat hard before an event because my stomach might turn on, wait, inappropriate word- My stomach might not go as planned and hurt which is a bad idea if going to a place with a ton of people.

"Why were you late, Ryu? It's not normal of you" I asked, knowing Ryu, he has his reasons

"Uhmm... The car I was supposed to ride on had a flat tire so yeah, I took a Grab going here"

"Wait what? You don't have a car with you?"

"Uhmm, yes. Well you know how to commute right?" I choked on the water I was drinking, wait, can you choke on water in the first place? I mean,

"I haven't even tried to commute. Why didn't you say earlier? I could've asked Mr. Servus to drive us there" I starting to sweat nervously

"Don't worry, I know the ways here" he seems confident enough

"Well, it's a first for everything" I have this uneasy feeling that something unpleasant would happen during our commute

Our food arrived, the milkshake, lasagna and juice we ordered...

We ate through most of the time and chatted

"Do you have the ring with you, Seishi?" he's digging through his lasagna fast. I think he's talking about the ring I was talking about in the car earlier
