"Mommy! Mommy!" I hear two little voices call to me, "Mommy! When is Uncle Eric going to get here he promised he'd come over today!" Allen asks me. I raise an eyebrow. "Did he now?" I ask him, he nods his little head. I hear the doorbell ring, I look at the twins who were rushing over to the door. I get up and follow them to the door. When I open the door I see an all red-eyed and sniffly Eric.

Eric has been my best friend since I got here, we immediately clicked. I met him at the farm, and at first, I thought he was cute and flirted with him, once we got closer he revealed he was gay. I was embarrassed, thinking about all our outings, then how obvious it was. I look back at Eric, "Boo, what happened?" I asked him, "Jake, I caught Jake...I caught Jake chea-cheating." He said, his eyes welling up. "A five year relationship! I thought it was actually gonna work out, five years wasted. Why can't we all just meet every person instantly if it's going to work out?" He exclaims in the hallway of my townhouse.

"Babe, you'll just know! I promise. You just need time, obviously, relationships just need time and you'll find one, I promise!" I tell him. He gives me a pointed sigh. "Everything just reminds me of him at home. I can't do it, Luv." Eric sighs. I smile at the idea popping in my head. "Why don't we go on vacation?" I ask him, little Allen perks up. "Can we go see Grandma and Grandpa?" Allen asked as I smiled. "Of course! We'll take Uncle Eric with us!" They started calling Eric "Daddy" when they were younger, it pained me because I had to show them pictures and explain that it wasn't "Daddy". Small moments like that made my heartache, I wish it could've been different. I think sighing.

I see Allen and Alek looking at me happily. "We get to go see Grandma and Grandpa! We get to see Grandma and Grandpa!" The course together happily. Eric looks over at me, "Isn't that where William is?"  He asked me, I looked over at him. "I was told that William joined the forces and is somewhere in the middle-east." Eric looked at me, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I got it from Matthew, I'm sure."

"As long as you're sure I'll go." I smile, "I'm sure. He's not there, even if he was he wouldn't care! Remember what he told me? 'Cause I sure do, it's impossible to forget." I told him tearing up. I quickly blink them back. Now is not the time. Nor the place. I'm a smart gal...I raised two twins with little help. I'm an awesome mother, with beautiful children, I tell myself. I sigh, "Road Trip!" I yell. The twins and Eric smile at me. "Yay!" They yell together. I look over at Eric, "What's the worst that could happen?" I say more to myself than him.

I was in the car with Eric and the twins. I called my Mom and she said that I could bring the twins and Eric down for the weekend. I smiled, she asked if I was sure and I had to tell that I didn't care about it anymore, what he said four years ago is his fault. It's his problem, I love my boys. I smile and look over at Eric whose driving. "How long until we get there?" I gently ask him, he smiles down at me. "30 minutes or so, nothing too much." I smile at him. Looking back at the sleeping twins' form.

Somewhere within the 30 minutes I fell asleep and woke up to Alek's, Allen's, and Eric's faces in my face. "Mommy!" The twins yell, I look over at Eric. "We're here." He gently tells me. I look up to my childhood home and that's when I forgot to tell my brothers I was coming back. Boy, am I going to get crap for this! I think to myself. I ruffle my little boy's hair, "Let's go see grandma!" I tell them, they smile excitedly.

When I walked inside I met with the glares of all three of my older brothers - Heath, Kieth, and Matthew - and a smile from Heath's and Matthew's wives - Georgie and Amelia - I smiled back at them. We scream as we all yell and hug each other, "Ahh! I've missed you so much!" Amelia yells. I smile at her after I'm done hugging everyone. I look back at Eric, standing awkwardly in the doorway.
