I had dreams, At least that's what I call them. I think they were actually memories. All I remember is a woman saying; "WICKED is good."
"Wake up Greenie." A voice barks as I immediately sit up from my swing.
"What the-?" I mutter as I rapidly blink my eyes, regaining my vision.
"You're burning Daylight. The walls has been open for a minute or two now," He says as I realized it was Minho. "Now get up." He says and finally gets away.
I put on my vest and slide a knife at it's pocket. I grab an apple and took a bite on it. "Are you ready?" He asks, impatience present in his tone.
"Ready as I'll ever be." I nod.
"Good that." He says as I remember this was the day that he was gonna evaluate me in the Maze and tells us what my job is. Whether a runner or not. If I won't be a runner, I would be a initiate of Gally, Winston and Jeff, the Keepers.
Just relax Tori. You can do this.
"Tori!" A voice with a thick accent calls me. "Tori!" As the figure comes closer, I noticed it was Newt.
"What now lover boy?" Minho says, annoyance present in his voice. "You're gonna hand her some chocolate and Roses? That would be sweet, but she's quite busy." Minho crosses his arms over his chest. "Besides, we have to go. Were already three minutes late."
"Just for a sec." Newt says as he glanced back at me and presses his lips to my ear. "Look, Tori. You're gonna pass this test. You're strong, fast and smart. You're gonna make it, okay?" He whispers to my ear.
"Yeah, okay." I smile as I nod at him.
"Here." He grabs my wrist and ties a hand made bracelet around my hand. "A token." He smiles. "Made it yesterday."
"Thank you Newt." I say in complete awe.
"Okay okay, Time's up. A minute is done. Come on Greenie." Minho says, looking at his imaginary watch at his wrist.
"Just remember all the things that Minho told you,okay?" He whispers one last time before letting go of me. "Be careful."
"Okay." I say as I waved at him and ran towards the Maze following Minho.
This is gonna be a long day.
